All I remember is that the mc is super into superheros and his boyfriend/love interest is secretly related to one in some way.
At some point I think he dies or something and goes to the underworld where everyone looks like a monster including himself. He escapes back to human world eventually and is able to change between human and monster forms.
I think the comic was abandoned but I’d still like to re-read it.
