Hi i am just new in novel writting i am working in my first novel by myself . But the topic is not related to it .
I was thinking of creating an proper novel where i have my own original story with no reference from popular stories. And i had decided the base power system of my story . Althought i am still working in it . Can you tell me what you think about it .
Here is some basic points related to my power system and the world.
In this world, magic/supernatural powers exists. But normal humans cannot use it. Not even a little.
Magic only comes from the Gods. These Gods are from Hindu Mythology.
There are 3 types of people who can use magic/supernatural power.
1. AVTAR
Avtar means a God is born as a human. The soul is God, but the body is human.
He is not borrowing power, he IS the power.
You cannot become an Avtar by training. You are born as one.
There are Avtars of many Gods β Shiv, Shakti, Vishnu, Brahma, Saraswati, Lakshmi, Shani, Indra, Kaal, Surya and more.
My main character is Natraj Avtar. Natraj is the dancing form of Shiv, the God of Destruction .
But being an Avtar does not mean you will be exactly like that God. The soul is God's soul, but the mind and heart are human's own mind of this life. So an Avtar can have a different personality from his original God.
2. BLESSED
Blessed is a normal human who got a small gift of power from a God because the God liked him.
It is borrowed power. If the God takes it back, the power is gone.
A Blessed person can never become an Avtar. A human stays human.
3. KUAVTAR
Kuavtar means Demon Avtar. "Ku" means dark or bad.
Same as Avtar, but instead of a God, a Demon is born as a human. The soul is a Demon.
For example, Ravan Kuavtar means the Demon King Ravan is born as a human. He will have Ravan's knowledge and power.
And same logic as Avtar β Kuavtar does not mean he will be evil. The soul is Demon, but the mind and heart are of this new human life. So he can think differently from the original Demon.
Like a Ravan Kuavtar can think, "All women are like Goddesses, I should respect them." So he has Ravan's power but a good heart.
A Kuavtar can also never become an Avtar.
The Rule of Losing Power:
If an Avtar does something wrong, his power can get weak. But it depends on which God he is Avtar of.
If he is an Avtar of a pure God like Shiv or Shakti and he does evil, his power will go down a lot. Because those Gods are pure. And if his human mind is different from his God soul, like if Shiv Avtar is arrogant, his power will also shake because Shiv is not arrogant.
But if he is an Avtar of a God who himself has pride or anger, like Indra, and he does something wrong because of pride, his power will NOT go down much. Because for him, pride is part of his nature.
Same for Kuavtar. If a Demon Avtar tries to be too good, his power will shake, because his original Demon self never did good. So being good is hard for him.
In short β your power comes from your God or Demon soul, but your mind is your own. If your mind does not match your soul, your power becomes weak. That's why no Avtar is too OP from the start.
The MC:
He thinks he is just good at dancing. He loves to dance, and he also fights using dance moves.
He does not know he is an Avtar. He will find out later.
That's the world and the power system of my series i was planing to create.
