Hi,
I've been dreaming of self-publishing my first book. I've written a lot of stories before I decided and planned to publish one of my stories. I've hired an editor, commissioned an artist for the book cover, and been looking ways to market the book.
My problem is that I feel nervous to continue.
I've read articles about getting reviews but some authors' experiences makes me doubt myself if I should continue my self-publishing journey.
They give advance reader copies in exchange of honest reviews but instead got trolled a lot and most of the reviewers are indeed trolls because they didn't even read the whole book or even half of the book. This makes me wonder how can I find legit honest reviewers for my book that aren't trolls but genuine readers?
Any tips and advice for marketing a book effectively?
If you self-published a book before, let me know your tips and advice for authors like me who plans to self-publish a book.
I'm nervous once the time for my planned date to publishing comes.
I'm thinking of backing out and can't decide if I should continue my plan of self-publishing.
Hopefully, my nervousness will be gone.
Thank you for reading my post. I hope to read your thoughts about this.
