Alicia: I can't say that I've had unrequited love as much as I've loved people who didn't love me as much as I loved them, or really at all...so that went...well.

Kattar: I've had unrequited love if you just count the fact that the girl I like and I never became a couple because I didn't tell her how I felt. It's been one-sided for years, but I'm not sure if that counts.

Melissa: Well my sisters tease me for it a little bit but I don't mind, right? It's fine, cuz it's all in good fun. Now my son and his friends can just be unbearable because they all thing they're so grown up because they're teenagers now, and I'll listen to them saying every day, "Woah, Mrs. Xochitl, like, how young were you when you started drinking coffee?" Just makes me want to knock them a peg, just a little bit, you know? But it's fine, crazy kids. I really don't mind my height that much except when it causes me trouble. You know when I was pregnant with my Drigo people thought I was a child and I'd see strangers looking at me so worried thinking I was a 12 year old who had gotten pregnant. And I had trouble in hospitals and OH! this one time when I got T-boned and the cops just wouldn't hear my complaint and kept calling me 'little miss' like I was 7 years old or something.

Alicia: I've been teased for it a bit before, but it usually doesn't bother me. Most of it is good-natured, though I have a time of it any time I want to talk about my 'little' brother because he's nearly a foot taller than me at this point.

And she's right, it is. She is so totally going to embarrass him many more times in the series, privately though, because she's not mean like that lol. Mortal embarrassment is scheduled for Kattar in August lol.

Alicia: Yes. Kattar seems to do everything he can to embarrass me. Sometimes in private, sometimes saying nonsense in crowded restaurants.

Kattar: (Snickers into his hand.)

Bro is too good at it, but she's managed to embarrass him a little too. Won't count the times it's on phone calls/text because people can't see his reaction though he's totally embarrassed.

@Leyelle omg it looks like Kattar’s special skill is actually embarrassing Alicia. Definitely feels like his way of flirting with her although I’m sure she’d appreciate if he’d do it a little less a girl can only take so much embarrassment!!

And to the short people problems raises hand lol but I guess no one would see it because I’m too short

Yeah, fortunately I've never had anyone I'm friends with or like to any degree be interested in me. Just randos. Definitely no one wants friendships made awkward, or worse, them ending. It's sad to me. I hope things worked out well for you and your friends.

Realizing I didn't answer these as Dominic and Essence, and I might as well answer some as Cocoa too

Cocoa: I have, several actually.

Essence: I have not.

Dominic: I might be in the middle of one right now.

Dominic: My sisters! Every single time I so much as breathe the word 'crush' they have to pop in her like-

Cocoa: Oh get over yourself, everybody does it. You could razz me about my love for hunks but you just let that opportunity slip right by you. I have been mortally embarrassed by a friend before but it wasn't intentional, she spilled something on me, and I had a huge stain on my shirt that we couldn't get out in the bathroom so then I just had a huge wet spot on my shirt, it was awful.

Honey: I've been humiliated by a not-friend who I thought was a friend.

Essence: I'm similar to Honey then. I've never really had friends, but I've been humiliated by the people I hung out with before.

New question:

Alicia: (taking a shaky deep breath) Constantly. I lied basically once per day from age fourteen to about 18.

Andrew: (glancing at Alicia) I never have.

Jinho: (shaking his head) Young innocence strikes again. I have. I'm not proud of it. I prefer to avoid it, but I have.

Andrew: Wait, have you lied to me?

Jinho: Yes, every time you're like "Do you want to watch anime?" and I say yes.

Alica: ouch.

Kattar: (sighs) Mostly I've just kept quiet or evaded questions rather than lying. It can be just as hurtful though.

Essence: No.

Dominic: I have. I constantly say "no one" when Cocoa asks who I'm texting, or "nothing" when she asks what I'm thinking about just to avoid questions.

Cocoa: what were you thinking about when you zoned out twenty minutes ago,

Dominic: (who had been thinking about Essence, reddens) None of your beeswax

Cocoa: well that's an improvement I guess. I used to lie to my mom quite a lot to go hang out with friends, or to make excuses for why I didn't complete a chore or assignment.
