New and curious

So I'm a big fan of CYOA ( Choose your own adventure ) style comics but I don't see them, or, at least, I haven't seen any that are too popular and as somebody that is entering the comic creating world with a CYOA I have to ask:
Is there a reason behind the lack of interest?
Or is it just that perhaps tapas is not well suited for a CYOA style comic?

I have seen one or two of them. I just don’t think they are that common in general. To me it’s just a niche genre:3
But on Tapastic there really isn’t as much attention to comics that aren’t romance or slice of life:/
Doesn’t me you can’t get in that niche and make it though honestly I think it’s a great idea! I’m definitely interested

But you know I feel like the CYOA style of comic has been pretty much replaced by the visual novel:3 I think you might be able to grab more attention that way imo

While the choose your own adventure hasn`t been explorer by many in Tapas, this can be a chance to be one of the pioneers in the genre. If you have an interesting story in mind, i would say go for it!

I think part of the reason you don’t see much of those in comics is 1.) They kind of require an invested audience, and it takes a long time to build one 2.) Quality art can take a long time to create, so waiting for choices before drawing the next section of comic can be impractical and cause drag.

Obviously one or two dedicated fans and a speedy artist can take care of those. It’s not impossible, just challengin!
