??? I didn't say I don't want another platform? I just said I doubt they will make a difference unless they offer something new or market in a way that pulls in new readers. IF they do offer a space with less censorship for NSFW creator, they'll be doing exactly that.
What I reacted primarily to was the needless saltiness. These platforms have provided a lot of opportunities to a lot of people who wouldn't otherwise have them, they've made webcomics more appealing to the average person, and one of them has tried their hardest to keep things as fair as possible for NSFW creators all things considered. If you still don't like them, there are other options, some of which you know about. So why bring your saltiness over these plaftorms into the discussion of a new platform? Like you said, it's just publish and forget anyways if you just want the potential exposure out of them.
I get that you feel they took away some of the audience from the other options, but they also expanded the amount of webcomic readers in the audience pool. If you combine the options cleverly you can get both the exposure of the convenient sites and the flexibility + lesser censorship of options such as your own site. Just go "hey guys the uncensored version is available over at [site]". It's a win win if you just use it right.
