But that's not what its saying at all. If people actually did read the policies, all of it and not just a paragraph or two, they'd see exactly what this is about and its literally no different than any other site. Both Tapas and LINE have very similar policies involving sexual material and violence.
And that's simply not going to happen. Both Google and LINE, understands how badly this would affect them if they legitimately tried to ban all mature material. It would pretty much destroy them as a company. The policies in a sense can be boiled down to two specific points.
1.) Don't sell explicit material, which is easy enough to understand.
2.) Don't promote explicit material.
Now it seems the second one is confusing people but promotion is not the same as just posting something. Promotion is actively supporting and encouraging something in a real-life setting. This is why a show such as "Law and Order: SVU" can have acts of violence and sexual felonies, but at no point does it promote it. It doesn't promote such explicit acts as good. Likewise, even though the material on such a show is quite mature, it is never explicit.
So again, if I draw a character grabbing a beer, especially a nameless bottle, that doesn't matter. But if I had that same character turn to the front, and start addressing the readers going...
"Hey kids, try out the new Bud Light Maximum Overdose, 25 grams of pure cocaine ready to entice your body for maximum alertness. Purchase this delicious and healthy drink here at Insert URL Here and enjoy a fresh new drink for only $399.99 a pint!"
Remember people..just because they both start with "P"
Promotion does not equal Posting.
Nobody cares if your series has some mature content on it and if by some strange coincidence all mature content had to be erased, the sheer backlash LINE would get would utterly destroy it. There would be no way LINE, which actively supports itself as a TEEN/PG:13 series could survive.
