Well what I'm celebrating from 2017 is finishing my dry run on my comic series.
I decided in 2016 that I was gonna spend 2017 seeing how much comic content I could put out/ and try my story idea out to determine what needed work, or where I needed to pay attention. Now that 2017 is just about over, I managed 57 pages. I know what worked, what didn't, and what sort of story beats I want.
Now, my draftsmanship is far improved from where it was a year ago, and I've started the comic once again for real. This time I'm disregarding schedule and working on large chunks all at once with the mentality that it will take as long as it takes. Here's a sample!
On top of that, 2017 was my first full year as an animator! I've started to get pretty good at it. (language warning)
2017 was a year of learning, hopefully 2018 will be a year of action!
