I don't blame them but at the same time I can't help but raise eyebrows at their cookie warning(s) and the validator to determine whether or not you're in the EU. Again it's definitely a serious situation and I'm hoping folks in the EU can get things sorted (the right way) but the q's on the validation thing.

I will say it is frightening because I wonder just how severe things will be on other major sites as the things rolled out

It seems a somewhat extreme joke if it is... blocking all content from the E.U. given the flippant tone perhaps it is though and given April 1st?! Is it still April fools day in the US?!

It's still april 1st in most of the world... I'm in the UK.

The test is a joke too. You can literally jsut answer the joke questions with obvious punchline answers and see the posts again. It's a minigame.

Damn it... their april fools prank was so good it freaked people out for real. That was ingenious.

Not gonna lie until I saw "verification test" and all the joke questions I thought it was real for a split second.

I don't use Newgrounds much and after looking at this I thought they're kind of overreacting since Article 13 comes to life in 2021, but now that I know it's a joke, the tone and everything about it makes sense. xD

(Though it's scary thinking how much of the internet will become out of my reach.)

It's a joke, Newgrounds, as well as a few other sites like Deviantart and Tumblr do an April Fool's prank every year XD
