This part. I think most think what separates a PRO from an Amateur is Resources. Like "If I was in their position I would..."
It's not resources, it's really a system. Rarely does something get made and then instantly shared without ANY review or editing. That's the base level. Having finished work isn't about 'not making mistakes' it's about talking the time or giving a second look to catch the mistakes. Readers shouldn't be seeing obvious mistakes. And to a reader it should seem perfect.
Maybe the artist thinks they could have executed better, but mistakes, rarely.
So I say- if you're fretting over mistakes, you probably should be and should do something about it/them.
If you address issues, you won't always need a coping mechanism or words of encouragement.

I think you had an epiphany and was imagining a discouraged artist who was feeling bad about their art and wanted to get them past a mental block- or some kind of fear that was keeping them from making more..stuffs. So I think your heart was in the right place and that's what counts.

That being said, I disagree with most ideas related to art that I come across and have the choice to either speak up or hold my tongue and let the world continue as it was. I almost always regret saying something. lol, not lol.

I think that's a good feeling (the fear and frustration and even regret) and it makes you pause to rethink things. Hating a mistake getting through makes you watch out for it next time. Getting heavy criticism bothers you and makes you want to eliminate those jabs.
Next image is going to be better.
Next page is going to be better.
Next book is going to be better.

Instead of always avoiding negative feelings, I say learn how to channel them.

Me say it again, but quality and appeal exist on different spectrum. There am objective standards of quality and there am subjective factors to likeability. Something can be "good" in one sense and "bad" in other sense and vice-versa.

Photorealistic painting, for example. Technically they am flawless, but me not really get point when camera already exist. They am undoubtedly high-quality but fall flat as works of art because art am supposed to be flawed mirror and personal commentary.

Nobody will ever become Platonic ideal of artist, but that not reason to stag night.

all you can do is your best, fix any mistakes you can, but nothing will be perfect no matter how many people look at it. you can work on something for 1000 years and it will not be perfect. AVXP has his opinion, but if you do have a mistake that is easy to see, yes fix it. but the slight flows that are in all work do not worry about.

You can get a perfect score in many, many sports.
You can do a hole-in-one in golf.
You can shoot a "Swish" in Basketball.
A human is capable of perfection, in many tasks and endeavors.

Something can be a perfect fit.
Products can be tested for quality and hit 100%.

AVEX their is no such thing as Perfection. it is a fantasy that you made up for your imperfections. you just wish that to be true, but it is not. educated people know this to be a fact. you can live in your perfect fantasy world by your self. products can not be 100% only %100 of there guide lines, it has to be this level to pass, %100 of that level does not mean perfect. Like I said you have no idea what you are talking about, you can look up product guide lines and what they mean so do it.

you can aim for perfection but you will never be perfect with out flaws is what we are talking about, and no their is no such thing as perfection, it is a human wish or idea. always do your best at any thing you do. but in the end you see some imperfections do not stress about it.

You are working very hard to consider errors and mistakes just "imperfections" as in "slight flaws" that are part of the human condition. You are reaching.

You are also confusing the concept of something could always be BETTER and _perfection.
Perfection is an English word and it has a meaning and context and is used regularly without issue.

Can you write a perfect sentence?
Is that possible?
Do you imagine that ANY sentence or any- thing in this world could always be improved/better?

In regards to art, we are not debating if a perfect piece of art can be made.
The question is, can you remove and fix mistakes?

You don't have to read past that. I already said- mistakes break the immersion and hamper the enjoyment of a piece of art or well, anything. That first line indicates a piece that has already accomplished its goal and MOVED YOU. And after enjoyment -- it's saying don't go snooping for imperfections.

For 99.9% of the people on here, the first impression is what counts.
Fix your obvious mistakes.
