Okay so apparently tangents are just whenever two or more lines interact in a way that creates a relationship between them that the artist did not intend1 in general, so these speech bubbles I remarked on3 fit the definition just fine :stuck_out_tongue:

But can we talk about this poster on my uni's bathroom stall door? I swear I keep thinking that's one arm but it's really not :'D

Anyone else seen stuff that's technically not a tangent but gives off major tangent energy? :stuck_out_tongue:

On your example they would be referred to as tangents even though they don't intersect because they are interacting in a way that creates a visual that the artist did not intend. It's not like mathematical geometry where the line has to be exact.
