Okay so apparently tangents are just whenever two or more lines interact in a way that creates a relationship between them that the artist did not intend in general, so these speech bubbles I remarked on fit the definition just fine

Anyone else seen stuff that's technically not a tangent but gives off major tangent energy?
On your example they would be referred to as tangents even though they don't intersect because they are interacting in a way that creates a visual that the artist did not intend. It's not like mathematical geometry where the line has to be exact.
Oh yeah, I guess 'interacting' is a pretty general word
