My main inspirations are My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, and Steven Universe! Mostly in terms of how characters interact and how they develop over time.

For The Faerie Dusters, my inspiration was a mood ring.
My inspirations for Star Seeders were all the gods of this world.
I think, don't quote me, my inspiration for The Space Bum came from a series of sci-fi novels and short stories by Keith Laumer.

I tend to create things that interest me the most. But I stick with stuff I do know, historical, action, comedy, ect. My biggest inspiration comes from Spy vs Spy from Mad Magazine. That's how Capture the flag got a lot of it's humor from.

My inspiration came from Frankenstein, Dracula and other gothic literature. I also include the works of H.P Lovecraft along with strange historical events such as the spiritualism movement and the Glow Girls of the early 1900's. Its just a weird mix that somehow works?

I have a lot of old anime influences like Sailor Moon, Lodoss War, Vampire Hunter D, and Utena. I've also been inspired by books like Welcome to Bordertown, Swordpoint, and Saga. 80s science fantasy movies are also deep deep within my subconscious and I'm sure it shows up in my writing.

My artstyle is inspired on Saint Seiya, and most of my narratives draw some sort of inspiration of Masami Kurumada's tropes, like tragedy and sacrifice. My comic, however, is inspired on One Thousand and One Nights and Zoroastrian folktales. Most of my stories are based on historical research mixed with folklore xD

My novel was inspired by the k-drama Abyss. I really liked the storyline to it so I wanted to write something similar to it.
Mine is called Perseus. Genres: Mystery, action and comedy.

it's about vampire zombies, pretty much, so there's no shortage on inspiration for me to steal from
aesthetically, however, I take inspiration from the usual vampire/dark fantasy stuff, but also super hero comics, specially the artist Mike Deodato, as I like drawing good looking buff people

My novel is inspired by the Originals and mostly all the series I've been watching that included supernatural as vampirism. I don't have a mentor while I write, but I try to be concise and express feelings and thoughts thoroughly.

My novel "The Legacy of Combat" was inspired by shonen battle anime. I always loved watching the journeys of characters
like Ichigo from Bleach, Naruto from Naruto, Goku from the dragonball franchise and many others. If you are a fan of battle
shonen stories than I recommend reading my story and trying to spot the inspirations used from your favorite anime.

Runner's inspiration was actually Made in Abyss. I loved the exploration and gamification of it. I also really liked the natural "level" progression it had. That's what inspired my magic system which is what I built the story from. Some of the plot points are just general adult cynicism and more recently I've been rearranging and rewriting big chunks moving forward inspired by the event pacing of Codex Alera by Jim Butcher. To me that series has been an instruction manual for how to write fiction. It very clearly showcases all of the advice you hear about pacing and how to manage A and B plots. It's very clear how the author has organized his story and it's been a lot of help to me in imagining the direction and way I need to push the series forward. None of this last bit is available to be seen in the comic yet. That's all to come starting toward the end of Chapter 1. Need to prepare the setting a bit and then off we go!

Here are the two projects I'm currently publishing on tapas.

Red Knight was heavily inspired by mythology and all the fantasy adventure novels I'd read over the years. Take a Hike! was actually created in part by a request for cat boys and the first chapter had a great reception. It was meant to be a one off (called Beaten Path), but then I got so many requests to give Felix a chance... it went from there.

So really, my readers are my inspiration.

Hello there~! This is very interesting to see how other creators have been inspire for their work! I'd like to share how I was inspired with the two novels I'm working on!

With The Revenge Proposal, I'm an avid fan of Korean-dramas and I was watching "The Penthouse". It's about a mother getting revenge on those who killed her daughter. I thought that's pretty interesting, but what if it was the other way around and the mother was the one who was murdered?

For my second novel, Rose Noble, I was reading a comic/ webcomic over on the Korean version of Webtoon and came across one that was based on the Japanese occupation of Korea in the 1900s. I wanted to write a story that includes an alternate universe where Korea retains its monarchy with a fantasy element of time travel!

My inspos are varied -
My favorite character from Agents of Shield was Grant Ward, so I wondered what would happen if he got his redemption, or if the goddarned show was sympathetic to his plight for once (cause out of all the male leads on TV, I felt he was the most complex and could actually be excused). Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo made me think about edgy genre mashups. I love fantasy and strong female characters, so decided to write a spy fantasy, featuring a strong female character who falls in love with her target....and I got House of Veils.

Some of the characters and lore in mine were inspired by a little game called the Grey Garden, it's a cool game and y'all should check it out XD
