I've been annoyed by some comics I follow recently so I'll just air my grievances here.
I don't like hate-crushes. Two people who hate each other but thing the other is hot. It makes no sense to me and is honestly a bit disturbing. I know it's a thing some people really like, but I don't. I've never been good at noticing romance even when it's straight, involving the lead and obvious to others, hateshipping just makes it even more nonsensical to me.
I don't like when comics have multiple big stories at once. Subplots are fine, but if there are multiple big stories at once it makes the comic so slow. It's fine in a normal comic or show cause you read it all at once, but in a weekly comic where it already takes years for anything to happen, this just makes it worse
Implying a sexual or romantic relationship for no reason. People really like some sexual tension, I get it but when two characters are implied to have a sexual past for no reason it bugs me. Especially if the comic is based on an already existing thing and there was no such relationship in the original.
When female characters have too much sass. Most of the time it's just annoying and disrespectful. This also goes for male characters with too much sass of course, but sass isn't really a thing male characters tend to have. And I don't mean sarcasm. Sarcasm is fine. I mean acting like everyone around you is an idiot constantly when you're nothing special yourself.
