Novel reading speed

Can you finish reading a novel of 1k pages in twenty four hours?

I did that sort of thing during my summers when I was in middle school. These days, I'm writing a lot more than reading, so I just read a page or two in the bathroom when I am pooping.

Highly unlikely.

It's also important to explain what kind of novel it is. If it requires deep thought or has tricky passages, a reader's speed is going to be slowed down. If it's a lighter, comedic style novel then it's less important.

Even if it checks all the boxes on what interests me, no. I can't even do 500 pages.

I think the most I did through the day was like 200.

I can read roughly 75-100 pages an hour so technically, yes. would I? different question entirely.

I probably read slower than it takes most authors to finish a novel.

If I'm really into something i tend to hyperfocus, so if im really into the book then probably. Most books I really fall into are read in one sitting, (if its a weekend or the summer) though those books are usually around 500 pages.

Though I will add that I've just started reading the way of kings, which is over a thousand pages and I have a feeling this will be a week or more of reading, not because I'm not enjoying it, it's just, like someone else mentioned, there's a lot more "thinking" required

I’m going to agree with everyone else that it’s unlikely. Possible, yes. And I’m a fast reader. There’s definitely a ton of variables, but still not probable.
