I had this idea and thought I'd try it out. There are a lot of shameless promotion topics and there all fun and well, but they get so swarmed. So, I thought about a more direct and organized approach. In this topic, you'd post you're novel, but you'd have to review someone else's in exchange.
Here are the rules:
-If you want to promote on this topic, you've got to reach out and offer to review someone else's novel beforehand. In your promotion, tell us your novel AND add the review of the novel you looked at.
-You don't have to review the whole novel if you don't want to do so. I'd say about 3-5 chapters would be fair.
-Try to be positive. I know that's asking the impossible, but it's worth a shot
-No purely negative reviews that could negatively affect the novel. You may not have the greatest things to say about certain novels, but please point out the writer's strength or give some constructive criticism instead of slandering them
-Reviews would preferably be for novels already on this topic, but if you decide to review one that's not, that's fine. Just give us the title and the author.
-For every promotion, there must be a review. If you have multiple novels you want to promote, you must write an equal number of reviews
-Since this is still new, myself and the first 4 posters get a free pass. However, they (including myself) do have to write a review for another novel when able. (I'll delete this rule after we get a few responses)
-Please follow all of these rules so that we can help each other out and not just promote yourself. I know I can't make you, but just thought I'd ask
