Hi All! Wow… it’s been actual years. I used to be very active on Tapas, both posting my work and participating in the forum. A lot has changed since I was last here!
I first began posting my work on Halloween of 2018. I sort of dumped everything I had written, then gave myself weekly deadlines to get new chapters out. That worked for a year or two, but eventually the pressure caught up to me and I started to divert from my story in directions I wasn’t loving.
I began losing motivation to write, because I didn’t love what I was putting out anymore; my delivery wasn’t how I wanted. This is when I tapered away.
But this story continued to live in my head and I was often here, editing and updating it as time went on. I love my characters dearly, and they feel like family. I haven’t ever let them go.
I recently decided to delete the entirety of my old work and to begin reposting it from the start (with my new edits).
This comes to my main question - is there a way to get more visibility on Tapas anymore? In the past, if you posted new chapters, your story would show up in a “new” section. It almost looks like everything I find now is licensed (something there wasn’t much of back when I was here)! Also, there is now the mature section which was just being implemented as I had my foot out the door.
I’m just curious how new works are seen (besides sharing in the forum). I’m more curious where new works are showing up in Tapas now (if they are).
