One Big Collaboration

Ah, Japanese artists and authors have done the same thing before on the manga project "Robot", led by Range Murata. They collected elite and noteworthy peeps across the region, and each of them made their own chapter. It was only a few chapters long, and the stories were episodic, didn't form a plot, but it sure is interesting to see. All the different styles and techniques mixed into a series.

I would, but my art skills aren't quite to the point I would like. I can illustrate, but sequential art is still a bit of a struggle.

This sounds a whole lot like Piggyback, a comic that's already happening on tapastic. This is not a particularly new concept, it just seems a little more organized.

This is just an idea but if we can get enough people to back this idea, a good communication system and perhaps even attention and input from the tapastic staff, I'm sure we can make this into an actual thing.

If we do jump onto this train we are going to need:
1.) a group of writers who can create a story in which all creators agree on and like (you dont have to be an artist just be creative)
2.) a general set design on characters in each different style that everyone on the team agrees upon
3.) a format, or formats of comics that the team feels comfortable with
4.) a schedule in which we can all meet via skype or any other communication system so we can set deadlines, discuss characters and bounce ideas around.
5.) dedication. (we cant just have someone start then stop half way)

These are just some stuff that we are going to need. It would be really cool to make this idea into an actual running project!

...I am not allowed to use skype... But I can very diligently use reply collums and stuff.

Skype can be used for artists to show their pages in the process of being made (or livestream).

I am both an artist and writer, so I can help I both fields (preferably the writing) as I have completed a few (written) stories.

We can use email and google docs for the writers to throw around ideas in a shared document, I suppose.

Who is going to take charge on this project, to bring it to life??

We can start a group of people here for sign ups.

It also depends, because I see myself as both an artist and a writer.
If we do such a thing and I end up part of it in any way, I'd advise the collab meeting be in a pm or in this topic, because I don't check my e-mail very often, and I won't use skype.

Alrighty folks, since this forum has kind of dissapeared in the last two days, I am proposing sign ups for this thingy. Reply with your category. Art or story (or both)

I am thinking we can use skype and email to collabortate. Since google drive has document sharing, I think that is where the plot and story should go. The artists should probably collabortate using skype or somehow show their pages so we know that thwy are on track (I suppose livestreams orpicture would work just fine).

But if you don't have those, we can always work something out. As I can't use skype even though it is free for signups. Contact me via private message on tapastic or DrawEuphorie@hotmail.com

Everyone can view, however, only those with emails and are added to the project can edit/suggest/see the actual stories.

Heya! I'm also part of the team now, whooo! =D I caught Euphorie while working on the Google doc and we put some story ideas down. I guess the next step is to add more ideas/stories or put your names down for ones you'd like to work on. This is going to be fun
