Hm, if anything was possible, I would like to meet with the late Tove Jansson, creator of the Moomin series. I could just picture having a nice chat with her over a cup of tea by the ocean on a warm summer's day.

In reality, I've already met the awesome @hannahmcgill at Silicon Valley Comic Con! That was super!
Other people I'd like to meet … any mutuals really (they follow my work, I follow theirs), so I can put a face and a voice to my regulars. But I understand if they enjoy their anonymity of course.

I'd love to meet either Enrique Fernandez or Linda Medley! They both make comics I adore, they're amazing artists, and I'd love to pick their brains for comic-tips.

Fernandez is amazing when it comes to colours, and Medley has some of the surest linework I've ever seen - super-clean and not a line out of place.

Eiichiro Oda. I want to prod his brain to find out how he comes up with all his concepts, world-building and how he approaches a story. Then tell him to stop smoking!

But sicne he doesn't speak english I'd probably go with Brad Meltzer, author of the incredibly well told DC comics story "Identity Crisis". He has a way of humanizing the least relatable characters of this established comic universe and seems to be so mindful of minute details in comics that mean the world to the overall storytelling!

Yoshihiro Togashi! I really liked Yu Yu Hakusho, But I would really like to discuss things with him about Hunter X Hunter. I want to know how he comes up with such amazing writing for that. it's really well done.

I'd love to meet either Jeff Lemire or Jim Cheung. Lemire is amazing storyteller and Cheung is stunning artist, I think I'd love to meet either really!

I would definitely love to meet Kubo Tite, I would like to hear what he planned for Bleach since we didn't get to see all his plans for the series in the manga

I would love to meet my most influential inspiration on my comic art, Marc Silvestri. Almost met dude at Dragon Con back in 93, but he cancelled his appearance. Then tried to meet him in San Diego in 96, but the line to meet him was too long.

I would love to meet the comic book writer Robert Kirkman. He has had a fast and very good career in comics since 2003 when both his comics Invincible and The Walking Dead came out. And I would ask him on how to perfectly pace panels and how to spread dialogue throughout the page properly.

I met Tom Siddell once at a con and talked with him, he was really friendly. I want to meet him again but more formally since I was only 15 and my art was awful. I know people usually can get hold of artists at cons and go out to dinner with them, maybe when I get a table at a con and some reputation I could probably meet up with the dude since It seems more easier with respected artists. I met someone in college who managed to get their favorite artists to go out to dinner with them, man I wish I was that charismatic.

A few days ago my wife was chatting online with some of her running/lifting friends and asked, "Have you ever heard of the comic Love & Rockets?" Have I? HAVE I?!! So, I reach over to the nightstand and grab a hardback copy of the original series (that I'd been using as a mousepad, but that's besides the point). Only the biggest influence on my short comic making life.

One of her friends is besties with one of Los Bros Hernandez's significant others. So, I'm just one step away from meeting my biggest teenage comic hero. How to make this happen? How? Without screwing it up and getting served with a restraining order. Fingers crossed.

Not sure if this really counts, but I would choose Mark Crilley. A lot of ideas and beliefs come from what I've learned from him, and his youtube videos not only helped me improve in my early years, but he also taught me some very useful things about writing a comic. Without him I probably wouldn't be as passionate and serious about art. His comics are also very beautiful :3

I really like where Aneko Yusagi is heading with the manga "Tate no yuusha no nariagari", there are both the Light novel Translated version and the Manga version. I really love psychological novels, and this manga has it with lots of betrayal with "I'll get stronger" and "in your face" attitude. Watching the MC get dragged down, and rise on his own is what gets me most in novels. I don't care a lot about the art to be honest as long as the story is interesting ;w;

I would also recommend Tales of demons and gods, a light novel. It's translated from Chinese so some context can be lost in translations, but thats rare. I've enjoyed up to the mid, where it got too annoying. Usually I feel the character, but sometimes I feel the authors desire in the character in a bad way.

There's also, Zhan Long which I enjoyed and ruined a lot of trips, classes, and good night sleeps! lol

Meeting with any of them would be interesting, but definitley Aneko Yusagi first ;w;

I've tried to limit myself to novels that can be both found in both novels and comics, if that makes sense xD

Oh man my dream comic author to meet would probably be Noelle Stevenson (Nimona) or Ariel Slamet Ries (Witchy). I feel like in terms of art style and storytelling we could get on the same page easily. Though the only way to meet people as cool as them would probably be at a convention, and their table would be super crowded which feels awkward to me :/
Someone I'd love to and probably will meet is Kit Seaton (Black Bull of Norroway). I like her aesthetic ;__;

Tom Siddell for reals. I met him twice in cons too, while I was in college, and I was very shy! I could only ask him one or two questions about where he sees characters in Gunnerkrigg going next. But seeing his comic for the first time online when I was 17 influenced me to know I'd one day put my comic on the web. I'd like to tell him how much he inspired me, next time I see him. (Third time's a charm, as they say! XD) As it is, I think he's rather shy himself. Which is kind of nice to me, because it means a person can be introverted and still find their way out there successfully.

I know and it makes me sad, but at least Ryan Ottley is back for the art till the end so there's that.

Oh wow, this is difficult! The first to come to mind is Akira Toriyama, then Fujiko F Fujio (sadly passed away). They created my favorite works (Dragon Ball/Z) (Doraemon), however if it came to chatting with a comic author I think I'd pick Masami Yuki. His work on the Patlabor manga is amazing. Awesome artwork and amazing character acting. Every panel is better than the next!

on one hand, id love to ask bendis what the hell he was thinking wrt a few marvel decisions, or thank him for miles.. i guess.. id rather thank donald glover if im honest. but bendis is a waste of an opportunity.

id love to meet the creator of witchy, on here, and ask abt their art techniques and generally gush abt their comics brilliance

this is hard, esp since im generally more into the art and characters in print comics, and in webcomics theres so much choice
