@joannekwan Late response is late, but it was lovely meeting you as well. I hope we can keep in touch. I love your demon roomies : D

Jesus. That's a gigantic and arduous first project to do with an artist you've never worked with before! Completely beneficial collaborative relationships are really, really rare. I myself have only been able to complete short ones within a 72-hour timespan. I would recommend building your rep a…

Death Prince @MylCreates You gave me the option of reviewing either Hacheeachkee or Death Prince, and I opted for Death Prince because the theme was more easily accessible for me. Comic Flow I'm glad you kept the vignette of two characters talking short and sweet. I disliked having an art proc…

Mighty Glad @ragraphx First impression: The art is cute and looks like it came out of a higher-end mobile game. I could easily see your work translate to something like Kingdom Rush, one of my favorite tablet games ever. Mood The style of artwork matches the dialogue really well. This appears…

Can you check out RAWR! Dinosaur Friends? Thank you. RAWR! Dinosaur Friends

For me Patreon represents a huge shift in how employment works...Instead of being beholden to one company or another, one can generate their own revenue and work on gaining 'promotions' in the form of more and bigger pledges. It's a very powerful thing because creators have this tool to fund their o…

Silicon Valley Comic Con was great!! I enjoyed meeting you @joannekwan. And yes now I have some fabulous Tapas stickers for my future sketchbooks!

Fugitive @Cairas First impressions, I'm seeing some lively poses for your characters, some interesting design motifs in regards to the characters (love the wrinkly bat faces!) and also an intriguing opening sequence. I also like how the characters have been set up in a way that makes me feel empa…

I got laid off and needed something to take with me to art conventions and meetups. Since gotten into contracting, but I still love my webcomic and sometimes look forward to getting laid off...

Aww, something about the Mario fancharacter's really hitting home for me. As a kid I would often make girl versions of characters that I liked, mostly in my head, because princesses weren't interesting but genies and Beasts totally were. Also don't even pretend that Piranha training isn't cool.

Drat, I guess we'll have to burn the wooden sign on the treehouse door that says 'No non-comickers allowed' now. I wish we'd purchased decent curtains instead.

Hey, thanks! Always nice to know when I'm subconsciously referencing quality comedy tropes. Definitely checking out Edgar Wright's work right now. Thanks again : D

Vatican Assassins @mjmassey Hello hello, I recognize you from the Webcomic Underdogs forums. Thanks for popping in and offering your comic for review. I'll do my best to help you. : ) Cool Concept I just wanted to mention that I love your source material and think it's immediately an interesti…

Hey! Your comic is really nice. I'm drawn to the exotic clothing design and the layouts are incredibly dynamic. If you wanted something to work on (?) maybe consider being a little more experimental, or abstract, or artsy with color choices. But that's like super nitpicky, your comic is really sweet…

The Green-Eyed Sniper @infectedbloodcomics Thank you for submitting your comic! And also for your patience. I had to take care of a contract that wound up being more stress than it was worth, and am slowly ramping back up into reviewing and comics outreach. Overall, I'm not able to follow this…

Hi there! I'd be super grateful for a review of RAWR! Dinosaur Friends. It's a kid-friendly comic. Thanks!

Yes!! I love Meetup! But I think all my fave arts groups in the Bay Area dissolved as their leaders migrated to cheaper places...totally sad. : (

A video to present yourself and your project is what I mean. Something that explains where the funds go, at least. Any kind of content helps too, people like seeing activity.

Even if you only have one follower you must continue to update and interact with that follower. I dropped out of someone's Patreon that I absolutely LOVED because they posted nothing for three months. : ( I assume due to their perception that nobody was interested enough. I assume that talking to …

I'm grateful! I really am! I just freaked out a little bit because it made me believe my queue had pushed before its scheduling. Is this a feature or a bug?

I think doing storyboards alongside scripts, no matter how crappily drawn, can help you get a better sense of how much text will fit on a page, so that you don't overload an artist buddy if you ever get to the point where you're collaborating. Just do a lot of it and try to find motifs that you wa…

I'm having a lot of fun learning about my audience and about the subject matter of my niche topic, and the biggest thing I would encourage newbies to start by focusing on ONE thing rather than trying to grasp everything. And all those gatekeepers at the perceived top probably aren't as elite as they…

like eight million!!

Domestic Dragon @ORO8ORO Hello! You probably aren't that new anymore, but congrats on getting featured in the mobile app! Cute comic, well-deserved. Character Design I think your dragon character is an especially nice example of a charming, gag-a-day character style. It's extremely legible, ha…

Where's the website with signups? Silicon Valley Comic Con appears to be happening in tandem with Big Wow, the April date on Big Wow's website might be incorrect...

Yes, it's a very nice comic and I hope you continue, don't let social media stats get you down! : )

The Old House on Lewis Street @Mrion I think Pixar and Disney are overrated and a animators with gumption like yourself are totally capable of outpacing them. ; ) Your style makes me wonder if you went to RISD since a lot of RISD grads I know have this kinda...I guess, flavor? To their work? A r…

I keep my comic at about the same level as a nature documentary, so if your kids enjoy dinosaurs and other weird animals maybe you could check out my comic? It covers general biology stuff and kids like it at conventions I sell at. Eager for feedback as far as appropriateness for kids goes, since it…

Reus @Cielle Hi there! It's good of you to seek out feedback. I believe I reviewed another comic earlier in the thread that was a self-admitted first-steps type of work (39 Days of Summer by @susanbehrends), maybe you could guys could be friends and help each other improve : ). Layout The comic…
