Great! If I have 10k coins by the next week (and hopefully NOT FORGET ABOUT IT!) I'd be deciding which of my favourite artists do I want to tip... hmmm... then the bonus coins I can just use for artists that have a premium series! (Which currently is only one). I mean, it'd really suck to see all the numbers go to nearly 0 again, but since the bonus coins we get last for 30 days, maybe I'll have to reconsider to how many coins I need to buy out Silent Horror Z until that expiry date... hmm.

Personally, I don't really mind these kind of promo events, I don't really expect to have a buyback of coins I would later use for tipping, since, again, like other people have said, it will be a loss on your side, and I'm sure a lot of people don't want that. A very great start though!

Not sure if I'll be participating in this event. Right now Ive been having a MAJOR issue with the "Puppy Bowl" ad; it's affecting my ability to get tipping coins. Right now there seems to be NO WAY around it...it's getting to the point where I might have to just delete the Tapas app altogether. I've e-mailed the staff about it , and I'm not sure if they can do anything.

For future reference, which would you prefer? 50% bonus coins or 10% any coins?

I'd rather 10% any coins for same reason as @CyndiFoster
I avoid bonus coins because I don't want them to confuse me about what I have for actual tipping. I'd like to use them to buy keys to support other creators but the series I follow are not locked, and I don't want to just toss keys over something I wouldn't have time to read.

I do have issues to get more that 7 ads per day and I don't think I want to download apps just to uninstall them right after.

Still not getting more than two ads a day, clicking on the adds or installing the apps changes absolutely nothing.

Yeah, I can confirm this as well. This last week I've been making an effort to interact with ads and it hasn't increased the amount I get either. Still just 2 ads every five minutes with a block of puppy bowl ads early in the morning.

Oh god I am oddly glad to read these complaints because it explains why tips are so low, especially considering the event. I was beginning to wonder if my audience was losing interest or beginning to dislike me.

I feel bad now though, I've been suggesting the whole downloading the apps to raise ad amounts method to my followers and now knowing it doesn't work... well it feels like I lied to them ;_;

Yep, the amount of tips I receive from my readers have slowed quite a bit as well.

I used to get about $1 a day and now it's about $.10 with slight spikes on update days.

Looks like ad struggles are a common trend for all app users.

I have 3 comics that update pretty much daily and one that updates often as well. In january it was $30-40 on a good day (before fees) and $20-ish on a bad day, and lower if I didn't update for some reason. Now it's $20 on a good day and like $6-11 on a bad day... And my audience grows with like 100-185 subscribers per day so the tips kinda should have grown at a steady rate since there are more people who tip.

I don't have another job. I'm pretty glad I still live with my parents when things are like this xD

Persknally, I think it's related to the Android version of yor phone. I get far more ads on Bluestacks, which uses an older version of an android rather than on my phone, which is 5.1.1. Doesn't mean it's easy to get those coins though because I've been busier nowadays and havent had as much time to farm on Bluestacks

(The difference may be that the ads served are different, for example in BlueS i get normal vid ads and at phone some of the ads do cool stuff at the end, like flash white. Beats me why, but that's what I know!)

That so, huh? Man. Well, I live around SEAsia so the ads are bound to be different. Try giving it some time though and see whether it improves, and avoid using both phone and bluestacks to watch ads simultanteously
