Dear tired_programmer13h, Tapas staff here. First of all, thank you for participating in the contest and we are very sorry to have upset you. Due to the practicality issue, we believe it was best to limit the voting to 10 candidates to make the voting experience easier for our readers. That sai…

[image] Hello, Tapas Fans! Got Ink? Whether it’s traditional or digital, ink is the foundation of everything we do at Tapas. It’s come to represent creativity and enthusiasm which we see so much of within our readers and creators. We want Tapas to reflect our readers and creators, and so that s…

The next time submissions will open for the Creator Incubator will be in the winter! We don't have a concrete date on when in August we'll be announcing who will be part of the second class of the Incubator program so please follow our social media accounts for the announcement! -- We want…

Like @joannekwan said, you are free to submit your idea to us at submissions@tapasmedia.co. Outside of the Incubator, comics are chosen to be Premium either by submitting an idea to that email address or, as the staff regularly reads comics on Tapas, if a Tapas editor reaches out to a creator with…

The synopsis should be about season 1 with a few sentences at the end hinting at what might happen in future seasons as a hook. As this is a co-production agreement, the copyright of the work will be shared evenly between the creators and Tapas Media, 50/50. Tapas will fully fund the creators to…

As you will not be residing in the United States while participating in the Incubator program, you will not be required to apply for a work visa. Work visas are mainly for those who will be working for a U.S. company while being a resident of the United States. Hope that explanation helps!

We don't have a panel requirement for comics. It's up to the creator to decide how many panels are needed to convey their idea. The "30 panels per episode" is a rough estimate we give for long-form narratives. The production schedule is dictated by the creator but we work with creators to have …

No, submitting a story part of a world should not conflict with any copyrights of future projects that take place in that world. The co-production contract covers one season of one story. And there's always the possibility that if we do like the story, we wouldn't mind working with you on other pr…

We're sorry but both creators must be over the age of 18. Ideas submitted to submissions@tapasmedia.co and ideas submitted to the Incubator Program will be Premium comics if chosen.

Guidelines can be found here: https://help.tapas.io/hc/en-us/articles/115005476687 under "Professional Publishing" but you're correct in assuming that the guidelines are similar to the incubator program, like providing a synopsis, art samples, relevant social media links, etc. Yes, you may!

You can send as many concept art pieces you want as long as the .zip file they're in is less than 25 MB. Yes!

We will be utilizing a form for submissions and there will a section where you can put both of your bios.

Creators almost always follow their original pitch and we'll usually jump in if there are pacing issues (because of the 24-25 episode length) but the direction of the story is in the hands of the creator. Our involvement ranges from being a sounding board for ideas to being a creator's personal ch…

Because of the co-production agreement one would be approached with if chosen for the Creator Incubator program, selling physical copies at a convention is something that would be discussed during negotations. Providing links to other social media sites allows us to get a better sense of you …

Those who are ineligible are typically those who are under 18 or have a visa that restricts them from working with a U.S. company. If you live outside of the US and don't have a visa that restricts working within a U.S. company, you are eligible.

30 panels is just a rough estimate of the amount of panels for an episode and you are definitely welcome to have episodes with more panels. We are looking for compelling stories, not just feel-good stories, so grimdark stories do have a shot. (We actually have a few dark Premium titles...)

We would suggest selecting your strongest pieces/the pieces that will best convey your idea to us. The file size limit is 25 MB for a .zip file. We will be utilizing a form for submissions this time instead of an email. There will be appropriate sections for you to fill in for synopsis, summary, …

@Vyncent The 4-Koma comic must be 4 panels long. The only other constraint is submissions should be no more than 1200px wide. @dukestewart Feel free to include it in your series! There is no exclusivity requirement  @AshSkyes Color is fine. @Will Yes, it should be a brand new creation. @nyca…
