I was so proud last week when I broke 40 subs. 40 people have actually taken to my humble little cartoon strip and it made my day. That got me thinking what you guys considered WOO-HOO moments? I guess my 40 subscribers is rather mediocre to some people?
Should I ever reach 100 subs I honestly think my head will fall off!!

This strip here by Matthew Boyd - Ian Mcconville, is a good example of how I react to subs and compliments. The readers being the human person and me being the dog. lol

Any achievement/milestone is great and we should let that happy feel goods fuel us whenever it hits us, because during the dry patches it can be rough to muscle through. If 40 feels amazing to you, then do a little dance and celebrate it. XD

We're nearing 1k and I'm super excited about it. At each 100 subs milemarker, we do an Art Request Livestream to celebrate with our readers. 1k is going to require something very special, I think OuO

Hey, congratulations!!!!!
I remember the first time a comic of mine got featured on the daily comic snacks I started getting views and subs like CRAZY (I wasn't even aware of the app at the time so I was very confused as to why all these people were suddenly looking at my comic)
I kept refreshing the page and seeing the view count go up by almost a hundred every time I did!! No joke I started crying and messaged bun on skype going like BUN BUN BUN PEOPLE ARE SEEING MY COMIC PEOPLE ARE SEEING MY COMIC HOLY SHIT
In like A DAY i got 500 subscribers which is more followers than I have ever had anywhere on the internet ever before so it was pretty overwhelming. (I had been on tumblr and DeviantArt for YEARS and never got past around 200 followers/watchers)
I also remember the day I got to 1000 subs cause i cried again lol. Since then I think my brain has been unable to process the numbers so I havent cried anymore.

I feel kinda bad I really dont have time to make special presents for my subs but I try my best to talk to them on the comments and I answer every single message I get be it here on tapastic, fb or twitter !!

speaking as a new toonist 'round these parts Id woo Hoo for one subscriber, but every thing comes to he who waits .... or has large amounts of TnT ...

Even though I passed 40 quite some time ago, I wouldn't call it unimportant. It's not just a milestone; it's a stepping stone!

All subs are important. Each one is a single, real person. 40 people is a lot of people that enjoy your work.

I think it's all context! I mean, I started my fantasy comic after my journal comic had already been running for almost 4 years, and I remember feeling really excited when my fantasy comic started getting up to the number of views that had become quite normal for my journal comic. It's not just the number, but finally reaching that number for the first time, I think we can all agree is super exciting!! ;u;

THIS IS INCREDIBLY ACCURATE.

This is what makes it mind-boggling for me!! DO I EVEN, LIKE, KNOW FORTY PEOPLE?? Can I imagine them all signing up to look at my comic???? That's just wild!!

The very first time I saw my comic on the front page of the popular section I literally teared up. Because I've been posting my comic on other sites for over 5 years now and have never been on the front page of ANYTHING. Just the amount of feed back I've gotten on this site in the about two weeks I've been posting here is more than I've gotten in 5 years on every other site combined. I know my follower count still isn't massive compared to others, but I couldn't be happier with the progress I've made on this site in regards to followers. Probably my most excited moment I've had for my comic as a whole is when it actually managed to get on the front page, as in like the top two rows of the "popular" section. Still don't know how that managed to happen and I haven't gotten that far up since, but it was a rewarding feeling that I've never gotten anywhere else before and it's really nice to feel a little gratitude for once.

One thing I like to think about that my friend told me was just imagine your followers as people in a room. 40 people in a room is a lot!!! I've never even had a class with that many people (Didn't do a big college thing). So that's like...double the number of people I think of when I imagine like a whole CLASS ROOM of people! That's still a lot of people and you should be proud!

Congratulations! Forty people is already a lot. And they won't sub if they didn't like it, would they?

Our first "woo-hoo" moment was when our series, The Fourth Wall, broke a hundred subs in less than a month. Well, it's not MY work per se (seeing as we're actually a duo running separate comics), but I'm happy since it's still OUR comic. (Did that even make sense xD)

In any case, we're happy for you! It just gets better from here on out!

Congratulations!

I remember when I passed 40-50 subscribers - it felt mindboggling that so many strangers would appreciate my little baby project, and I walked around as if on clouds for the rest of the day. I get the same feeling every time I pass a subscriber-milestone, no matter how many of them I pass.

40 people are a sizeable crowd! Imagine if you met them in real life - you'd be hard-pressed to remember everybody's names! And that many people are now reading your comic!

Ever since I started my comic, I'd give myself subscriber goal (every 25). Not to sit down and anxiously wait for someone to click subscribe (I've been on internet long enough to know that obsession about these little things can be detrimental to an artist's personal growth) but to know when to take a time out of my day to celebrate something. Every HOORAY is definitely a great cause of celebration!
