Opening Canvas Failed ( ERROR PAINT TOOL SAI ), HELP!

I need your help please!

i have made all my draw in Paint tool Sai, but a error appeared " opening canvas failed ",
anybody knows how to open??????

Could you give us some details about your computer's specs and the settings you've chosen for your canvas size? I don't use SAI but my best guess is that the canvas you're trying to make is too big of a file size for your computer to handle.

For reference, the settings I use on CSP are 11x17 inches at 600dpi. 300dpi is the minimum that most people recommend. If you're only planning on posting to the web you can get away with 72dip if you really have to - but uh... DONT :V

I use SAI, but I've never encountered this problem before. Or maybe I have a long time ago, but I just forgot about it?
Anyway, as for a possible solution... What if your file is corrupted? Did a power outage happen while you were working on it? Did you use the cut command and it got interrupted? Or a virus of some sort? Because that may be the reason why it's not opening. If not, then maybe you should try uninstalling SAI and installing it again. Or you can try transferring the SAI app to another PC/laptop and try to open the canvas there to see if it works.

I got this kind of problem before, the cause is:
- The picture resolution is too big (it shouldn't larger than 4000x4000). You can open it with "Paint" program instead
- You moved the file to somewhere else but still use "open recent" command, SAI can't find the file and report error
