Page sizes for comics

I know there are probably heaps of topics like this but I haven't yet found my answer so I'm going to ask anyway.

What size pages would you recommend doing? What size pages to you use?What about if you are going to print it? I know tapas' size requirements but I imagine most people don't have that ratio.

I'm drawing my comic traditionally and the sketchbook I'm working in is about 20 x 29.5 (its supposed to be A4 but due to the binding its a little off) cm so I was going to be doing pages a little smaller than that. Is that an acceptable page size? I know its not really a phone friendly size should I do something different?

People's usually (as far as I know) did use the A4 size paper to make comic pages for prints. If you want to post it on internet tho, you could always reduce it to fit the maximum pixel limit.

Japanese mangas usually drawn much more smaller than the actual paper size. You could always search Google to see the template and examples.

I've been drawing on 11"x17" paper for my comic (Tabloid size, I guess). Although I "cheat" and use this paper that comes with some basic guidelines already on it in non-scannable blue (US Amazon Page)

Anyways, as you said it's not amazing for phone layout but it works well enough, I guess xD When I'm editing the page in photoshop after coloring, I just lock the height/width proportion and shrink the width down the 940 pixels to get it ready for uploading. My pages turn out like this when they're done:

So like the traditional line work works pretty well~
