Hi, I'm Cathy aka Catluckey, main artist and writer for the webtoon The Watchman here at Tapas and Webtoons. I really need some help to continue this story of a young alien girl, and a boy from Earth who travels across the universe soon to meet her.
I used to have more time on my hands and energy to create this. Retired at the age of 62 and soon turning 66 this month, with arthritis in both hands, and breaking my ankle 2 years ago has really stunted my ability to continue this story. Currently, I am working part-time to help with finances. But by God's help, I am taking this issue head-on to catapult The Watchman into 2020.
For the first book of The Watchman, I am willing to pay for your services. This is tentative, to see how things work out to continue with Book 2. Hopefully we can come together with an option that will work out for us in this beginning collaboration. Duration: About 6 mos. 4-8 panels per month. To complete first book of “The Watchman.”

- Match the style in this story or (Korean/Japanese style – manga/anime)
- Background Artist
- Mecha/Robot/Spaceships
- Lighting Artist (if you can do this...AMAZING... it'll really set the mood)
EQUIPMENT/TOOLS:
I have these. If you use something else, let me know
- Paint Tool SAI – I use for drawing and coloring
- Adobe CC (Photoshop-most current version) – I use for special FX, speech bubbles, and dialog
- SketchUp 2019 – I use for a character's room and character model references (angles, poses)
- Photos from Google – I use for character reference poses
MY TERMS & CONDITIONS:
- Draw digitally and in the manga/anime or my style (show me examples of your work).
- Background Artist highly needed.
- Artist that can create Mecha/Robot/Spaceships with lighting knowledge highly needed.
- Communicate and respond quickly through Email, Skype, etc.
- Work within a reasonable amount of time (complete by designated deadline).
- Knowledge and experience with the tools above are Highly Recommended or if my equip/tools are compatible with yours to work/edit together.
- Ability to adapt to my style is needed because finished work must be seamless.
- You can collaborate with me on the writing and panel formatting in the episode (I will be adding more panels to give character's interactions with self and/or other characters).
- Please do not spoil my story, plot or new page. I sometimes post these for my patrons.
- You will receive credit at end of episode/chapter. But do not promote your artwork until I give permission. (Most likely after chapter/episode posts.)
PAYPAL is my only method of payment to you. No money through mailing.
My price starts at $50-$100 USD per episode (4 to 8 panels on average). This depends on how many artists and your skill.
Get with me because prices could differ depending on assignment...could be little higher or in-between the $50-$100.
