Paint Telephone Game (SIGN UP)

Hi everyone! This is a game from another forum I'm on that I think people here will enjoy. Basically it's a game like Telephone/Chinese Whispers:
1. We start with a random image which I PM to the first describer.
2, The first describer has to sum it up in 10 words or less.
3. The description is then sent to the first painter who creates an picture based of it.
4. Their picture is sent to the next describer and so on...
5. At the end of the game, all is revealed to the players and the public.

You don't have to be good at art/creative writing to play. It's all just for fun! (And let's face it - it can be better like that lol). Any type of art is also okay from photos of rough pencil sketches to digital masterpieces.

How to play:
Copy the list in the most recent post and add your name to whichever place you'd like that's available. I'll start with 7 describers and painters but we adjust spaces if more or fewer people want to play and we can have even numbers (it really should end with a painter.)

So come and play (also hopefully this is the right place for me to put this and there isn't already one of these - though two wouldn't be bad, I just don't want to spam lol)

I'm rather confused by the rules, but this definitely sounds interesting I'd be interested in doing one of the drawings~

So we're not supposed to post our pictures until the game is over, am I getting it right? And for the describing people, do they describe it to the next drawing person publicly in the post, or privately?

Yeah, you're right about no posting it's all secret til the big reveal so no spoilers lol. Everything is sent by PM through me. Let me give an example. Let's say the signups are:

1. (describe) Pikachu
2. (paint) Ash
3. (describe) Jessie
4. (paint) James

So I find a random image on google. And PM it to Pikachu.

Pikachu PMs me a 10 word description of the image.

I PM Ash Pikachu's description. Ash then makes a picture/image to the description and sends it to me.

Then I PM Jessie Ash's picture so she can make a description.

Sounds interesting, like to be a painter

will it still be on tapas or on another website?

Hey @Black_Conscious No, it'll be here.

I signed up to Tapas yesterday and last night I got the idea while I was bored because you guys like art and stories to see if you'd want to play. It seemed like a good fit to the site lol

I mean, if we struggle for numbers I can ask people from another site to help with that, but it'd be nice as a community game I think.

Also don't worry about the PM thing, I've seen a lot of mix up with terminology being misunderstood by cross community people - sometimes with funny results lol

And yup if you'd like to play, best way is to copy your name to the list and repost it (if not, I can do that for you though )
