Paypal Account for Artists

I was thinking about setting up a Paypal account for receiving payment from commissions, selling books (Like mini comics), and Patreon/Ko-fi. But as I was starting creating the account, it asked me what kind of account I want to create: Personal or Business.

So I'm asking anyone who uses Paypal, which type of account should I use, Personal or Business or it doesn't matter at all?

I created an new bank account just for money that I could spend for personal stuff (Like comics, art supplies, and other artist's stuff) and it would be connected to my Paypal account so when I'm selling mini-comics, commissions, Patreon/Ko-fi, etc, the money would go there. But I want to make sure that I'm using the right kind of Paypal account for this.

Personally I've set my account as business. I forget the specific differences but for security purposes and the types of transactions I'm doing that's what I picked.

I had done all my commissions and gumroad store transactions without issue under a personal account.
It wasn't until I opened a storefront on storenvy that they required a business account.

My Paypal originally belonged to my dad, so it's under a business account. I may be wrong since I can't recall very well, but having a business account is better since you can receive larger payments compared to a personal account. You can withdraw large amounts as well, I think?

That would make sense.
I don't think I had ever approached a sum large enough to matter though, it's probably for transactions more than several thousands. xD

Haha, same here!
I think with a business account you can also set up recurring payments and such, since there can be some limitations with a personal account because it only has the basic features.
