I noticed a couple of these complaints after already having sold several copies using Lulu. Only time will tell if I run into this issue because my first payment from them will be at the end of this month. Thanks for the heads up though!
If Lulu won't work for me I will probably try CreateSpace or something like it. I can't do the preorder hassle because I simply do not have time to deal with shipping and all the extra accounting-work that would come with it
Latest news on this issue is, as I mentioned briefly in the thread before, that the Lulu employee repeated the same already stated options I had. Which were 1. Check the file to make sure it follows their requirements. Already did this multiple times. 2. Export the whole thing as JPGs and reassemble in acrobat. I don't have acrobat pro, only reader, so this one is not an option. 3. Do an entirely new PDF from scratch in indesign following their instructions. 4. Do nothing and run the risk of this problem reoccuring.
So what I did was number 3, and I took a screenshot of every single part of the process and every bit of information the file had on it.
Then I sent all of them to this now very angered customer service personel.
Finally got them to stop saying "You can't have followed our instructions because if you did there would be indicators of it in your file".
I dunno what is going on now but they're testing the file with their printers and seeing if it works.
