There's always Promarkers (which are cheaper than copics), Tria (same brand as Promarker, but they come with 3 different nibs, super thin, thick and a "brush" nib), Flex marker and there's also 3 different brands within the Copic section as well, like the ordinary Copic, then we've got Copic Sketch which is a bit more expensive but lasts longer compared to the cheaper Ciao.
Promarkers have moved to Windsor & Newton, instead of being a part of Letraset as it used to be. They're also usually the cheapest brand out there (and I prefer this over Copics even though I use copics as well) and Promarkers are the best when you want flats quickly.
Pigma Micron has ink pens in black and brown.
And I think it's Steadtler that makes the pens with an orange base and a colourful tip. They don't come in a variety of nibs however, it's usually just 0.5.
That's what I started with when I began to make comics, and I still do use them today! :D
