Me problem is that this group want to force all of us to change the language to speak with an "e". Not just accept NB, they want to erase gender to make society "better" because "male pronouns are oppressive" and we must get rid of the "hetero patriarchy" by changing the language. They even vandalized the subway to change words to "a" and "e". Nobody is saying that individuals don't have the right to call themselves whatever they want. When I say "nobody uses it" I say that it is not common practice in our population. Is not.
I don't identify myself as female or male (I refer to myself in my head as a he and in society I am a she), I feel like both, I don't mind being called with any pronoun. So, please don't assume I am ignoring non binary out of lack of empathy or understanding.![ ](https://forums.tapas.io/images/emoji/emoji_one/sweat_smile.png?v=3)
I refuse to take away people's gender just because I don't particularly want to belong to a side. (I don't want to make people angry with that statement but I feel that way). Gender has value. I'm sorry, I won't be convinced that forcing a wole country to change their language to e will make society better. I do think that there should be respect if people want to use it for themselves.
I hate the fact that this change is being introduced with bully tactics, if you don't speak with an e you are a macho oppressor and you are disgusting. It has little to do with understanding gender, it feels more like they want to erase masculinity from language. Masculinity matters to me. That's what I object.
As the main topic says individuals can't accuaretey represent a comunity that has so many different individuals, so I don't expect my experience to be valid for everyone. I do respect others needs and I'm sure their reasons are as valid as mine. ![:relieved: :relieved:](https://forums.tapas.io/images/emoji/emoji_one/relieved.png?v=3)
