Petition to create a BL / GL webtoon genre

How many of you guys think the should be a separate genre in webtoons for bl/gl? Here's why I think the should be.
1. When I'm in the mood for that specifically, it's not like there are tags for me to find it.
2. Make it its own category and then you can get a more accurate rank on it, since it's not competing with romance as a whole.
3. It's mad popular, but that's also a downside for me. There are SO many uploads for that specifically, sometimes it's hard to search for other romances as well.
4. This one is a little more selfish, but for creators, there's only 2 genres you can put your comic as. With everyone putting BL and GL in their icons anyway, it's like those comics get away with having a 3rd sought after genre. I feel it would clear up some searching space and give more noticeability to other comics if that genre existed and it had to be formally chosen, and then the BLGL icon thing not be allowed. The a comic that is more romance driven and B/GL that doesn't explore fantasy aspects much, or the drama darker sides much, and is just romance, they wouldn't choose a different genre and thus wouldn't compete with comics that spend equal time focusing on aspects other that the central romance.

I'm all for more genres but it usually kinda goes without saying, this is the Tapas forums, we hardly have any influence over what goes on in the meta of Webtoons lol

Also, your first and third point overlap and somewhat contradict each other? When you're in the mood you can't find any, but you just said it's everywhere too??

And about your fourth point, I'd personally like to see like 3-4 maximum genres be a thing for everyone across all sites, since like.. people mix and match a lot nowadays anyways, so like putting BL or GL in the thumbnails isn't too big a deal for me personally

Yeah, my fiance's comic is like 4 genres. And what I meant was, when I wasn't to find bl or gl specifically, I have to go to romance and browse through them all. Without the bl gl icon thing, I have to to read them for a bit before I find out the main love interests, especially if it is a more elaborate story. But at the same time, it's popular to create because there's a large audience. So at the same time, if I was interested in a straight romance or something specific, then at the same time I have no way of supporting through them still. There is overlap, so I guess I was redundant. But yeah, I agree, at least let's add more genres. But I guess it's to keep the competitiveness and narrow it down some, that way all comics don't just say, yeah we're a bunch of genres if they aren't really

Yeah, I know the Love part, which I guess I'd usually assume is a romance thing just from that, but it's true that if that's not the largest point of the story, romance wouldn't really be the genre. Do you put gl in your icon too? I know people do it up draw in the crowd looking for it, but then isn't that still like a genre? Cause if you put comedy or fantasy, those tabs are the so people looking for that type of story can find something. That's why I think it should have its own, cause its like it's own thing. Or yeah, at least tags like I see tapas having.
