Pictures and Gifs in comments

This site is full of artists, humorists, comedians, creators, and the likes. Wouldn't it be more fun and immersive if people can comment with pictures and gifs in the comic sections. Can't even count the number of times I sh*t myself with just qwerky and hilarious comment posts from internet strangers. Is it intentionally left out for any purpose, or is it just delayed and is still currently in development? Any other thoughts about it?

As it is the site can take a while to load bigger episodes, if people were posting gifs and pictures in the comments I don't even want to think about the lag.

Even without the lag problem it poses that would just reduce the comment sections to a mere deluge of reposted maymays and reaction gifs. I think the charm of the comment sections lies in one's ability to meaningfully interact with and receive feedback from readers. I, for one, enjoy talking to the commenters and engaging their responses. But imagine if all the comments they left were trite frog memes.

Yep. And mostly because takes the fun out of conversing with your readers because it doesn't afford you glimpses into their thoughts . . . I think.
