My idea for this is basically a shared universe where multiple creators each write their own Tapas webnovel set within the fictional town of Pixiewick. Would anyone be interested in an ongoing collab like that? We could set up a Discord server to discuss plot events that would effect multiple stories, and each webnovel could be told from the POV of a different protagonist who lives somewhere in Pixiewick.
The idea of the town is sort of like Hogsmeade from Harry Potter, but located in Oregon in the Unites States. Basically a town of magical people hidden from the Unmagi (like Muggles). Here is what I have written for more ideas about the location:
Pixiewick is a small town that sits in Mithril Valley, which is a magically-concealed space within the Cascade Mountains of Oregon in the Pacific Northwest of the United States. The Valley was named such because it contains a huge underground network of mithril mines, but they have been mostly dried up for decades. Pixiewick is the only community within the Valley that endured until the current date. The town sits at the south end of the Valley, near the Unicorn River. The river runs from Mythwater Lake at the north end of the Valley and flows south. Surrounding the lake is the Feywood Forest, filled with many types of magical flora and fauna. At the north end of the lake is Mythwater Falls, where water feeds into the lake from a series of holes in the side of Dragonroost Mountain. This is where several underground rivers collide and exit out of the mountain and fall to the lake below.
It would be set in modern day, and the characters across the webnovels would be various residents of the town, whether they be merchants, hunters, fishermen, craftsmen, farmers, ranchers, etc. As for a shared sense of danger that could effects multiple webnovels, I'm thinking there could have been a group of miners who kept digging in the mines looking for more mithril, and they stumbled upon an Underdark-like subterranean realm that sits below the mines. Now monsters from that realm have infested the mines and some are even making their way up to the town.
Each webnovel could tell how it's main POV character deals with these events and how it effects them and their circle of family and friends, and of course there would be plenty of options for crossovers where multiple webnovels could show the same scenes from different POVs. For those shared scenes, we could write them first as a group RP within a Discord server and then edit those posts into the episodes for Tapas.
And we could cross-promote the entire collection of series within this setting across the social media platforms of everyone involved. So, would anyone be interested in a collab project like this? I'd love to hear any thoughts or ideas XD.
