it can be music that inspired you to make your stories, the unofficial soundtrack of your works, or just the sounds you like to listen to while you write / draw
Oh and also leave your links and images below.

I have this story about a lone reporter lost in some dark woods full forgotten things, wandering the unknown, trying to survive and trying to understand what is going on, she's not completely sure how she got there, she's not the most physically apt person to be in this situation, but she's intelligent and determined.
So the sounds that help me the most to bring the dark into my comic are the out of tune instruments, distortion of any kind, the fusion of electronic and acoustic, some ghostly synths, high tension drones and some orchestral music from time to time.

Find me on Twitter as axur111I upload some sketches and extra stuff there
I don't really have a playlist, OR many good songs I know of that fit, but THIS is something I often listen to when thinking about my comic. The creepy tone, and high energy actually make it pretty fitting!
EDIT: This one isn't bad either
Catchy, also it sounds just as quirky it looks (⌐■_■)band oh man that orchestra at the end, we need another Hit and RunAlso I can see a strong influence from Invader Zim in your comic, you sir have great taste in stuff
I'm currently working on Spotify playlists for my main cast! Although they're a lot different in the comic as of now, because I'm putting the whole thing through the shredder and remaking it along with some of the characters and their personalities. I only have 3 complete as of now cause I'm still looking for songs for the other 2 or 3.
Rant over lmao, here are the playlists
Here's the comic (but be warned, it's in the process of being rewritten and redrawn)
Hyper Pop!! love it, I Can't Decide by Scissor Sister is really something special, and Dua Lipa is a favorite of mine on the Pop side of things, but hey leave a link to your comic
Edit: Don't worry we all are in the process of rewriting and redrawing stuff all the time
I have a plethora of playlists XD
But uh... anyways. My newest series, The Last Reindeer has a smaller playlist. Since it's a series that takes place in the north pole at winter time, there's a theme of ice or night to the songs
And then of course we have my main long running series Dragon Sparking. Many of these songs have been with me on this journey since 2007 when I was first running story concepts. Most of them bolster the theme of victory and overcoming obstacles that my characters face throughout the story.( I write action/fighting comics)
You'll probably notice that most of my music selection is Metal. It's simply the most powerful inspiration in my arsenal for telling my tales. Music is easily the one thing that I rely on the most for brainstorming, writing, and drawing.
Man I can feel the power metal while reading Dragon Sparking you indeed can channel it through your work, keep at it
Actually there isn't any influence from it. I only saw three episodes of Zim as a kid when I was too bored and lazy to change the cannel, and can't remember specific details from them.
I have a playlist I made for my series! Only the first 7 songs are in order so far. some of the songs won't go along with a chapter, they're just songs that help me get into my characters heads. a weird combo of pop, electronic, lot's of midwest emo, metal, synthwave, emo. It's a mess and it works well together.
I also frequently listen to the lofi hip hop beats to study and relax too playlist. lol. and 80's synthwave playlists on youtube.
really? haha sorry then, but you still have good taste in music and games although I have to say that old lady looks just like a character from Invader Zim, heck you probably should watch it, it's similar to what you're doing, you might like it
Not really interested. Besides, I don't really watch "kid" shows all to often anymore. (Samurai Jack, being an exception) I don't have any problem with it, I just have other things to watch.
However, I do completely agree that we need a new Hit & Run of some kind.
Infinity Shred is a really good choice to listen to while working on space sci-fi, have you heard the soundtrack Risk of Rain 2? it's similar to that sound and pretty inspirational for sci-fi too, oh and Anamanaguchi it's so fast and full of details, I cannot draw while listening to it but I REALLY like it
ooh I haven't heard that soundtrack or even seen the game before! I'll have to check it out sometime. Infinity Shred REALLY helps set the mood. Anamanaguchi is one of my favorite bands I know I have one of their only slower songs 'tear' on there too! 10/10 recommend them whenever you are in the mood for something upbeat and fast!
Not sure if this counts for much, but my main characters all have playlists!
And you can read it here
this is quite a selection of fun Pop sounds I like it
the comic itself is posted elsewhere though i still talk about the characters pretty often here n about but the playlist is here
there's only one song i've got a gripe with (stillmotion by varcity) as the one section of it has the perfect tone but i don't really care for the intro or the lyrics everything else tho is perfect
you can see it in action here
that's a nice playlist, good minimalism and vaporwave, you refer to that bridge with the trumpet? it is lush , I get what you mean, there's a lot of music with the right sound and the wrong lyrics, anyways thanks for sharing
I haven't compiled a whole playlist...but a couple songs I think would work well...
As an opener (flashing squares of light...um...I guess warning?):
Closer (curse words in this song):
Part inspiration:
I do come back to these two bands a loooooooot just to have something in the background and keep the mood up XD
While I work I listen to a lot of different stuff...it's kinda all over the place, so I don't
Oooh I've made playlists for some of my books!!!
