So this is just a test to see how many words and bubbles and panels ppl use per episode of scroll format. This is of course pretty random since it's dependant on what your update schedule is, and the genre you write, your own personal style and preferences--but lets just see what happens for fun because this question comes up a lot. Go back to your last 3 episodes, count up those words, count up those bubbles, and count up those panels (and if you have 2 panels merged together, or a panel without a border we'll count that as seperate panels), find the mean of those numbers, and lets share it below in a poll.

(and for those that haven't had algebra in a hot minute, the mean is you add up all three numbers, and divide it by 3. So if my first post was 10, my second was 15, and my third was 20, I add up all three to 45 and divide by three, which is 15.)

Also, this is only for scroll format episodes--since you don't have the page format size restriction.

How many words (round to it, and if it's way over, let me know, I can adjust the poll to go as high as we want) (PS you can feel free to skip this one if you're like not in the mood to count words, the panels and bubbles one is way quicker):

How many speech bubbles (if you don't use speech bubbles because you're doing an alternate like using partial novel/script format or whatever, use 0) (also, speechbubbles that are connected/touching count as seperate bubbles):

hm, by the current math of this small group we have an approximate 17 words per bubble, which is pretty interesting. (haha the statistics of this are not accurate, but just fun to see)

PS make sure you're finding the mean, and not just adding up all three numbers without dividing by 3.

My answers are less than 5 words per updates, hence almost no speech bubbles, and 5-10 panels on average.

Waaaay below any average.

Cough.

No I'm not lazy. Lmao

haha, it makes sense, some comics just don't have words. At least you had a really quick and easy time counting them

Apparently I can't edit the poll anymore to add less words so o well? I'm learning a lot about how polls work on this site rn.

No worries, I just commented to clear things up. And yes, makes it easy to count haha. Interesting poll though, thanks for that!

interesting... so I'm about average on number of panels and number of balloons, but I use only 1/3 the amount of words. I'm averaging about 6 words per text balloon. interesting.
