I want to draw with a simple anime/manga style but I'm not an expert and oh no!! The spirit of high school art class past has taken over again and all I know how to do is charcoal and india ink!!

You know those popular fantasy shows for kids, that are kinda-sorta anime-ish but not really? Yeah, it looks like that.

what happens when you try to develop a style for drawing humans as a primarily furry artist and your only reference is weird 70s men.
alternatively, 2000s era furry art but with more angles.
Overcomplicated, over rendered junk, with some colors and glowy crap thrown in. And sometimes witches.
When you first start out drawing anime and it permeates through every attempt to remove yourself from it by drawing semi realism but it doesn't work, so you just give in to whatever hodgepodge you've made
