"So what kind of dream was it, Will?" He teased.
"Well, if you must know, it started with us at your house and you wearing an apron and nothing else." William spotted Sam now starting to crack and become flustered again

“Ha!” said Emma. “You’re the one to talk.”
“I am. I know all about you women. You glom onto everything a man has. You milk him dry, an’ y’ move on down the line.” Emma vigorously shook her head, seeking a place to interject a stern word or two, but Will would not let her in. He continued quickly, “Y’ drive him crazy, y’ drive him t’ drink, y’ drive him into the grave, an’ then y’ tell him, I told y’ so.”
“And here she is, the Princess Dvina Celesta taking her rightful place to look after our beautiful city of Sidusca.” Iola made Esamus wave at Dacia by the tapestries with an exaggerated flourish. “And I, Atoka Somsun Esamus, Lord and Governor of Sidusca, formally step down from my exalted office in her favour.”
“My lord Esamus.” Dacia stepped up to the podium beside Iola. “This is a grand honour you bestow upon me. And today is indeed a glorious day.”
"Is this a joke to you?" Kalina spoke through her teeth, with a vein showing up on her forehead. "Two little girls you can fool with for a while, taking advantage of their trust?"
"Aren't you an ungratefull one!" Sirma raised her arm, but Bela caught it before she could strike Kalina's face.

“Jesse, Darren… Calm down.” Chantel said.
His voice rose more, then pointed at her, “You don’t tell me to calm down! You guys are hiding something from me! We’re supposed to be friends! Friends don’t do this to each other! So, you’re not leaving, unless you tell me what’s going on!”
“No.” Iola shook her head in alarm. “I need not an escort so large lest my people fear another sortie from Sidusca. If you can spare one man...”
“Let me guess who.” Dacia grinned and glanced over her shoulder. “That imbecile you’re in love with.”
“Wontanlaen is a myth... a made up boogieman to keep restless younglings in line.” Eldrek laughed at the bent old mage. “You have to do better than that, old one.”
“You dare defy me!” The gangly wizard, long white hair and beard flowing wild, shrieked and lunged at the mighty Diabane with slivers of lightning crackling at his bony fingertips. “You forfeit your life, Diabane whelp.”
I-I said s-sorry.” Chūshi was by no means small or weak, but something about Aoto’s grip weakened him. He cleared his throat, still boring holes into Aoto’s black tennis shoes with his gaze. “Won’t happen again. So, uh, l-let me go?”
The air, already still, froze. Almost as if Aoto’s black hole rippled and expanded until only the two of them remained. “How can I let you go when you sound unsure of it yourself?"
“No one has seen Marco in years, and I don’t think Mark has seen him since Millie and Jasper died. I think Mark may have known they were haunting him. I have a hunch on why he gave his choker to me. It wasn’t to remember Millie at all! I think he was trying to sabotage me!” He exclaimed.
“Well, that may make sense and I wouldn’t put it past Mark to do that. His ‘nice boy‘ act towards you sounds fake as hell from what you told me.” Chantel sighed, rubbing her head in stress. “Argh, we have too many issues going on at once!” Her head spun from dealing with the mystery of the Rise of Light to the haunting from Millie and Jasper.
Out of context is so much fun, isn't it?
I let his words swim around in my head for a while, still frowning. "Jack, are you trying to ask me to have your baby?"
He let out a long breath. "Oh, Gods, you could understand the mess that just slipped out." He began to massage his temple with his free hand, face scrunched in pain.
“We are the chosen, dear Maedra...” Sora looked at the older girl with sadness. “We are the ones who will save the world... but we have much to lose to do this... much to sacrifice.”
“Sounds perfect!” Hari shook his head, unable to contain his exasperation any longer. “Our world is torn away from us and now we need to sacrifice our lives to save it.”
“Tell us, tree dweller,” Eldrek asked as he placed a massive arm across his fellow Diabane’s broad chest to hold him back. “What do you make of this place of ancient ruin?”
“Aye, cave dwellers.” Calozel replied with venom. “We are aware of everything. Our knowledge is passed down for generations.”
“Why? You an orphan or something?” His bluntness was somehow abrasive, charming, and refreshing all at once.
“In a way.”
The door cracked a little, and I managed to catch a peek of someone’s eyeball. “Felicia?” Kate asked as she opened the door wider.
I brushed past her quickly. “I’d be more polite, but as you can see, I’m kind of half-naked here.”
