Needed a profile picture for a new instagram account so I took an old artwork from January, played around with color balance and did some painting over it.

Some little messy sections here and there don't hold up to close scrutiny, but I'm pleased with how it looks overall ^^

This was a couple years back but I had signed a contract at the time to not release the work done because this portrait was for a kickstarter reward for Attic Door Media's Incident Report comic. Was tasked with illustrating a magazine cover page for one of their characters who hadn't been introduced at the time. I got to design him from some photos they sent me. Was super stoked to work on this for them. In hindsight, just wish I widened his sleeves out more at the wrists where they connect with his pockets. And I had that habit of not adding enough 'skull' at the top of a person's head.

I drew the same image in two programs. Both versions are a little sloppy and rough and Krita had an additional advantage of being the one I did second (I'll do it again the other way round eventually) but I still think there are some noticeable differences in the lineart and shading and just hw confident and comfortable I felt.

They are my OCs, The Sanjaya Family.
Sanjaya family’s special traits are cunning and kinda antagonistic. The guy with purple dark hair changed when he fell in love with his wife, but those traits still exist — and it passed down to his daugther!
