Hi beautiful people! I've been posting my comics for a good year or so; I noticed that a lot of people wanted their work to be critique and how they can improve. That is a very good strategy to get better, but I think your worst and best critique is yourself. I know, cue the dramatic drumroll. Why not take this time and analyze your own artwork? Who knows, you might get even better and learn so much more. I think this excercise is interesting and it will probably come in handy later on. Here, I'll start with mine:
The above picture is my worst work. This is when I just started doing comic and had no idea on how to draw background. So, I opt for slapping on black pain into a canvas and put dots as stars. I think the work will be better if I separate the stars a bit more and group them instead of just randomly putting dots on there.
The above work is my best work. I work my but off for the characters to look manly, way different from my usual cutesy style. I realize that this style best represent me as an artist but it takes way too long. After a week of working on and off, my right hand cramp up for days. Trying to balance a good style and your own health is very difficult. :/
