This thread came at the perfect time because I just changed the cover for the Horror series that I help create with my friend and writer Scary Terry because the old one was not scary enough but this one certainly is.

Here is the link to the comic if you want to see more:

An interactive illustrated novel, where the comments decide what happens next!

Your new laptop, bought for cheap, seems to be the perfect deal. However, everything changes when you discover what it can do. Other worlds, stories, and people are at your fingertips, you need only click on a document in "THE JANUS LIBRARY." Suddenly, you are engulfed in a world of vengeful retail workers, magic, steampunk machines, and a multiverse conspiracy that threatens the existence of everything.

*note, this series is done by multiple artists in multiple styles, so here's the banner to give you a full picture of the variety!

I think the must important thing with a comic cover is that it reflects what the story is about and that it stands out on the page amongst all the other covers.

When I first made mine I found a tip here of taking a screenshot of the page and find similarities, and which covers that draw you in, and take inspiration from that. also which you glaze over and NOT do that.

Atm I feel there are many head shots and couple inages going on on the front page, so maybe stear clear of that?
Hope that helps!

Anyways, here are my covers for the Changeling's Sister :3

Chapter 1

Chapter 2

Chapter 3

My cover for "Milord and the Tailor"

The Red Kettle Spell Shoppe

I love comic covers! They can be tough though, striking that balance between showing what the comic is about, giving a sneak peek at the content inside the issue, but not giving too much away.
A cover is a promise to potential readers. A promise of art style, of tone, and of content. I like the cover you have. It promises lovely art, and a darker tone. Not sure what kind of content will be in the book though, I think you could communicate more of what the book is about to entice potential readers.

This is my cover! Curiously, I hadn't made it until a couple months ago even though my webcomic started in 2018.

I have two comics (soon 3), I hope it's okay to post all the covers!

(Not released yet)

Mine's a placeholder too, actually! Well... sorta. I don't really intend to stop and make a real comic cover, at least not for now. I'll just make chapter covers and use them for the comic. All that said, I'm happy with it for now.

Yours looks really cool :heart_03: I like the second one especially. Both make you want to look at them more and just look at all the different things happening.
