These are some from my comic Avu that I...was going to update this year and then Covid happened and I only updated it once (cry emoji). But I do plan to finish it some time before I die, it's my little passion project I like to sandbox around in. I guess it's hypothetically more a fantasy than a furry but...all the characters are anthro so...if you want to sub to a very painterly comic that updates once in a blue moon I got you.

Hello There!! I wanted to share my comic here as well!!! about a bunch of anthro characters in a school setting! a fun slice of life comics about learning about themselves and each other! Here's a page!

here's some of the characters: Tom and Mary!

Oh boy I think I found some good reads in here:heart_01:

My story is about a group of virtual pets that have their daily lives uprooted by supernatural forces. I just really love pet games...

Hey All,

My story is "The Unstoppable Monkey Bunny." It centers on Penny, a deaf, orphan gorilla who gets swept up in a war for her planet's freedom.

It's more of a team book, but since we're just getting started, I've included pictures of the main characters that will show up in future episodes. Although it's primarily an optimistic story, it does get pretty gray at times- dealing with the nature of identity, war, freedom, and family.

Pictured are:
- Penny the gorilla (she/her)- the heart of the book and The Pack's muscle.
- Artemis the android rabbit (she/her)-limitless potential but unfettered neuroses
- Vashti the wolf (she/her)- the leader of The Pack
- Taylor Reindeer (he/him)- skilled fighter and team humorist
- Bernadette the vulture (she/her)- the eyes in the sky
- Cayden the opossum (they/them) the brains and the generosity
- Rivers the squirrel (he/him) the sidekick in waiting.

Hey thanks for mentioning my story here. Really appreciate it. I should probably mention though that Dane is actually just Regro's roomate and friend. He has no desire to do superhero stuff but is still helpful in other ways. Perhaps you confused him with Misk?
I just thought I'd let you know. Sorry if that was confusing.

Hello!
This is my Fantasy/Mystery/Webcomic webomic, which features both human and animal characters.
Enjoy!

A little off-topic: What's a furry, and how can I join in the fun? From what I see in this thread, it seems to be about anthropomorphic animals, but is the art style always cartoony? Where do I go to learn more about this stuff? Any youtube Channel, article, or site for a 101 class? I'm gonna read all your comics, they look cute.

You can google it, but be careful because you might stumble into some nsfw stuff. A furry is an anthropomorphic character. The style doesn't matter. It can be realistic, cartoony or anime. As long as it's an animal person, It's a furry.

I face the same questions xD So we are in a similar boat :3 I am new to the furry/anthro community (in general) but I have always been a furry/anthro lover at my core. This past year, I have really embraced it because it makes me happy and the community is so welcoming and kind, at least those I have interacted with so far. So these furry threads make me happy  Much love to everyone here and hope you all are safe ^^

Same. I like anthro characters, but I've always been turned off by the furry community because I'm not into the sexual/fetish side of things. I just think they look cool/cute. I'm glad these threads are on the wholesome side of things.

I personally don't mind nsfw (unless it's of my OCs it makes me a bit uncomfortable), but I understand there are people who are put off by nsfw in general or of certain things. And that's all good! Nothing wrong with either preferences! NSFW is in almost all communities however, which is why I don't like branding any community by their nsfw section. The furry/anthro community is filled with a vast array of kinds of people, stories, works, etc. Unfortunately, I am aware that the furry community gets a bad rep, but furry isn't synonymous with NSFW ^^ Glad you're enjoying this wholesome thread.

Oh my mistake, It’s been a little while since I’ve read your comic. Dane stuck out as a great character design with a neat personality. I mixed up part of his backstory/job with another character.

My strip has somewhat anthro but as a disclaimer....I'm not into furry (as in the well established creepy pervy kind).
I choose animals/creatures/objects solely from a fantasy design standpoint.
