There are a few manhwa I've been reading recently that have really caught my eye (not on Tapas):
The Way To Protect The Female Lead's Older Brother, which is an isekai webtoon about Roxana Agriche who, in order to save her family from the female lead's vengeance, takes it upon herself to save the female lead's older brother. It fits into the fantasy romance pretty well, but does get very dark and gory at certain points, so proceed with caution. Overall, a good storyline with beautiful art and an intriguing protagonist.
I Raised Cinderella Preciously: Another isekai webtoon lol. Much lighter than the previous one, it follows Cinderella's stepmother (who is actually a woman from the modern world transported into the body of the Stepmother character) as she tries to raise all three of her children well and make sure all of her daughters are set up for the best lives possible (which, mostly means she's trying to find them romantic partners. Women's roles in this society is heavily criticized in the manhwa itself though, and the author explores some interesting topics through her story). She also meets the nobleman (and main male lead), Daniel Walford, who I am both very distrustful of and adore. It's overall a really cute manhwa and I really recommend it to anyone who likes family dynamics and banter-y couples.
Moriarty the Patriot: There's a manga and an anime for this one. The manga has some beautiful art and very beautiful characters (they made everyone hot
). It follows William James Moriarty, a mathematics professor, and his brothers as they create their legacy as the Lord of Crime, with the goal of creating a more equal society from the ruins of a crime-ridden England. Basically they want to get rid of the class system. The real draw of this show is actually William's relationship with the Sherlock character. They're friends with each other but William, as the Lord of Crime, is basically playing puppet master behind the scenes. It's worth the read for the main characters, which are all really entertaining and well-thought out!
I've only been using Tapas for a few days, so I'm not sure what to recommend in that area. I'm really enjoying The Dark Orient comic right now, which is sort of a post-apocolyptic story set in the far East (not sure where exactly).
This one has also been cute so far! The romance between the main leads is precious.
I'm also always in the mood for some self-promotion, so if you'd like, I've also recently started my novel, "How To Kill A King". It's about a consort sent to assassinate his spouse, the King. They bond and it's very angsty and cute at the same time.
