Happy Pride month!
The name of the comic is I'm not a Sick Boy - a mixture of superhero, survival horror and BL. It follows two brothers Evan and Owen who gain strange abilities after hearing an eerie hum. They also become carriers of a strange virus that instantly mutate other humans into 'zombie like' creatures upon close contact.
The title has spoilers a couple spoilers attached.
But on the surface level, the title was meant to be a personal motto against bad judgement. To me, 'sick Boy' can be interpreted as literal, derogatory and psychological.
1) Carriers of the virus are literally called Sick Boys ( they appear to be males)
2) Evan: a gay man, from a conservative town its his way of defending his sexual identity. Evan's past mistakes return to haunt him, so it can be his motto towards redemption.
From the BL angle, Evan has feelings for a former assassin named Xun who is also a carrier. (He's the guy in driver seat above) Xun is currently the manager of a Gay Lounge and serves as Evan and Owen's mentor on the journey. Another love interest appears to further complicate things.
thanks for the opportunity and keep up the hard work on your novel!
