Sypnosis and Plots:
In modern-day Japan, worm-like creatures appeared near Mount Fuji. It is said that a meteorite fell from the heavens to Earth, bringing these beings with it. These creatures are white, fluid-like worms that do not harm humans directly; however, substances within their bodies are said to mutate living beings if consumed.
Kemonji Matsumoto, a 15-year-old ordinary student at Ketitsu High School, becomes entangled in this mystery when an organization called Taka emerges. Taka aims to take over Japan, believing that humanity must evolve and that the weak should perish. Kemonji is thrust onto a stage where he must oppose this organization alongside his friends.
The Taka Organization seeks to transform Japan from a normal country into one filled with extraterrestrial abilities. In other words, they aim to turn humans into Juganju. Those who reject or oppose their beliefs are killed.
Sanju are worm-like creatures that move fluidly and appear pale and harmless to humans. However, once devoured, they transform the consumer into one of two beings: Seiji or Juganju.
Seiji are animals that have consumed a Sanju, causing them to mutate into strange, otherworldly creatures. There are three levels of Seiji. Seriju are Seiji that remain roughly the same size as the original animal, with changes mainly in appearance and strength. Kajin Seiji grow slightly larger, with altered DNA, changes in behavior, and more drastic physical modifications. Horei are the most dangerous; they are massive—nearly the height of buildings—with completely altered DNA, immense strength, and extreme destructive power.
Juganju are humans who have consumed a Sanju. Their skin turns pale white, horns or bone structures grow on their bodies, and a unique mark appears on their forehead. Each Juganju possesses different powers, and there are five known types of Sanju.
