So, I have an official cover and a backup one, if I feel like changing it in the future.
To clarify I found both these images on Pinterest and they clicked with me.
My story has three types of witches - blood witches, mirror witches and witches of sense. So, the first half of the story focuses on a mirror witch and a witch of sense, however the second - a blood one. Yet, this image, for me, is supposed to represent the weight that we carry within our bloodline. The butterfly in some Slavic believes is the human soul still between the worlds of the living and the dead, so being on the back - it is a further testament of the weight we carry from the family past and expectations.
The second cover has an hourglass, which for me symbolises the concept of time and how each person has a different perspective on it. The blood dripping could be either the consequences of your actions coming back at you, or the cycle of life and again weight we carry because of our blood. You could see some light coming, shining over the hourglass. That is the daylight, which can mean a new day has arrived and everything bad has come to an end, so there is hope for a better future(dennica is the name for the daystar in several Slavic languages). But it could also mean that a new repeat of the cycle has begun.
You just have to decide for yourself which of these meanings are applying to you.
