Hi! I started a new project about a love story between two highschool girls told in several poems... here's a piece:

Not going to lie, I was paying more attention to the art. Still, you are only two chapters in, so I wouldn't be able to make a proper judgment of your story.

I really enjoy your comic's comedic sense as It reminds me of Tom and Jerry and Spy vs Spy and I loved both growing up. One thing though, is while you're whimsical art definitely fits the idea of Capture the Flag, you could make it feel more fluid and professional by apply more studying gesture and applying it to ur art: http://www.thedrawingwebsite.com/2015/04/15/the-key-to-flow-power-and-dynamism-mastering-gesture/ . In regards to the story it might be interesting to add a little a minor sense continuity to comic by having the whoever ended with the flag in the last chapter have it at the begging next chapter to better build the sense of a back and forth conflict. Also sneaking in little tidbits of lore regarding the world they live in and why they are fighting over the flag could help get an audience more invested in the comic. Thanks for replying!

although romance is not a genre I am typically interested in, I quite like it. It's has a very wholesome story, and the character art is very clean and fits the vibe of your story. I think something that would improve on what you have going on would be defining an antagonist to push your character to act on her desire of getting with Alex. Obv the story is meant to light hearted, but I think a sprinkle of drama could really benefit it.

Ok so, I just read Akomen and I can say I quite enjoyed it. I'll be telling you what I really liked about it and what part I enjoyed less.

Things I liked

Story and Setting

Really loved the medieval setting and how you played with it, putting in the various fantasy elements. I also enjoyed the beginning of the story: it managed to be captivating and really set the tone for something eerie and menacing. The world building also seemed to be quite on point, since we got to know how this society works. The language was, at times, a little hard to comprehend, but it blended very well with the middle-age type setting. Seeing the interactions between the characters also contributed to the world feeling more 'alive'. I enjoyed Dragutin's monologue and internal struggle too.

Artstyle

The art is truly amazing: loved the black and white you opted for and the paint-like style. One thing I noticed is that you are really good at drawing close-ups (eyes, faces), which really helps conveying the character's emotions, as well as giving more 'life' to them. The details are also really impressive imo. I also liked the quirky design of some of the characters.

Suggestions

This is the part where I tell you the things you can improve and what I personally didn't enjoy.

Story and setting

The only thing I didn't like here is mainly the fact that there's a bit too many fantasy names being told. Putting various names in and explaining them can help with the world-building, but never exaggerate with them, since the reader might feel a bit disoriented by them.
Another thing that I would suggest is to make shorter episodes. The first episode was pretty long for me to read and, even though I enjoyed it very much, some readers might want to make a pause.

Artstyle

The only thing that you should be a bit careful with when it comes to the art is perspective. Some shots were a bit strange and I didn't quite understand what was going on. The panelling was also a bit strange for me, sometimes. Try working on these points and it'll be even better!

Final thoughts

It was a really good read for me and I liked the characters. The only thing is that I'd love for them to have a bit more screentime, especially the mc, who I personally find to be really interesting and compelling. I'd also love to see and know a little bit more about Dragutin.

I really love the art in your story, it's unique and expressive! I thought your dialogue writing was very good, it sounded like real people talking which can be really tricky in a fantasy setting, but it was a little hard to follow what was going on. that's my only real complaint.

The art is really nice. I love the effort you put into backgrounds and how you really know how to play with values. I love how you played around with perspective, and your art comes off a lot stronger because of it.

Suggestions:
Try experimenting with line weights (and by that I mean having a variance in your lineart by making some parts thinner/thicker). I do like the sketchy texture of your lineart, but it does make some parts of your panels really hard to read (like the 4th panel in ep1).

Readability is really important, so I would definitely suggest you to plan out your panels and dialogue bubbles in the future by adding more spaces.

I also noticed that you made a few light/shadow mistakes, especially in the first episode. The knight is holding the only source of light but the shadows are not consistently showing the shadow going in the opposite direction (for example the third panel where the lantern is on right side of the knight but there is a lack of a shadow beneath the lantern and the shadow is located behind the knight instead of going the opposite way)
