Publishing your comic in several languages!

Hi!

While I've been struggling to promote my Gods VS Dragons, it come to my mind that maybe I could try to do it in another language than English.

Since Portuguese is my main language and the 6º language worlwide by the way (mainly due to Brasil) I'm wondering if this would be usefull or not. I'm might even attempt to do it in spanish since it's more or less similar. Does any one here publish their comics in social media or any other platform in more than one language? If yes, is it usefull?

Pls come to brasil

I have a PT-BR mirror for my own comic here, but it's really just for sharing purposes outside the internet. It has NOWHERE the amount of likes, views or subs as the english version, and I in fact had plenty of my brazilian friends just sub to the english version instead to push it up. It's nice to have, it helps me practice translations and localizations (and my files are already optimized to have two sets of dialogue), but it's not a significant impact in the audience.

But of course, if you go to cons like I do, it's extremely useful to have it done ahead of time. I can just pull up that version on my phone/printed version and show it to whatever rando comes up to my table, even if they have no experience in webcomics. I'm not traveling to the US anytime soon and don't have enough material to print the first issue, so it's actually the version getting printed first in small batches.

I post mine in both English and Japanese, and up to now, have only been posting on Tapas, which I think is a mistake for languages other than English. If you want to post it in another language, I highly recommend finding a dedicated comic sharing website in that language and posting it there. So in your case, finding a Portuguese comic sharing website to post on.

I'd really like to publish my comic in spanish, since one of the main characters is latina and there'll be some parts of her speaking Spanish anyway. But my spanish is far from perfect so I'm studying everyday until I'm able to sound more natural, then I'll do a spanish version. The problem I'm struggling with is regional dialect, for lack of better terms.
