Feel free to ignore this, lol, it's personal opinion from experience.
Personally I don't think the 'flow' of the story is as vital as most people think coming into these sites- or at least not important enough to let it set off plans for engagement/marketing events. In an ebook, sure, but not in a serial novel.
This coming from over seven years of wattpad (not a giant, but I had a substantial following over multiple accounts) and now tapas building up followers and regular readers. The more they like YOU, the more likely they are to engage and subscribe to all of your content.
Web reading platforms are different than the traditional format we expect with novels, and come with different expectations- there's a huge social aspect you have to keep in mind with anything that's web/app based. A lot of readers like to feel involved (dropping personal tidbits every now and then, for example, makes them feel like they know you better). Very few readers I've seen or questioned on a serial platform expect a perfect, uninterrupted flow. And if that's what readers ARE looking for, it's easy for those few readers to skip over the Q&A to get to the next episode if they aren't interested in the extra content.
The subscribers and interest you can potentially gain through engaging readers and making yourself stand out are definitely worth a short break in the story- though I do recommend doing it as an extra update rather than interrupting the regular updating of actual episodes. I've done multiple updates which were not part of the story (though I deleted them when they were no longer relevant) to make the readers feel personally involved, and my subscriber count is definitely not hurting for it.
