One of the themes of my current novel is parenting and familial relationships!
It's hard to list all here but each character has their own family problems. Basically, I have a whole section in my plotting that's dedicated to each parenting style. For example, Ray loves his mother a lot (because she coddles him a lot) but has a difficult relationship with his father (who is more authoritative). :joy:

Eliza used to have a perfect family, until an accident took her parents away.

OP is already subscribed, but if anyone else is interested, feel free to check out my novel and subscribe if you like it.

I would say Genji has a good relationship with his parents, but he doesn't see them too often.

Since my novel is about domestic abuse...the answer should be obvious that this ain't good. My main character Suren has had enough however, and is now forging her own path and plans to end this cycle.

My MC has a pretty decent relationship with their mother but doesn't know their father at all XD

I know right?! It's hard to censor spoilers sometimes. :joy:
And thanks for subbing! I recognized your username. Hope you're enjoying the story!

Rookie absolutely adores her parents, the type who would join her parents in their bed for a snuggle

Kiorif is quite disciplined, respecting his parents, and has a stable relationship with them

Tomobi meanwhile has stayed with Apollo and treated it as a Master-Servent relationship

Annalise's relationship with her parents are good and quite normal. She calls them often but doesn't share much unless they meet in person.
As for my other two characters. I rather not spoil anything.

Cozmata and her two moms Nimbus and Keen are close. They have always been there for her, even if sometimes Nimbus goes way over her head for Cozmata. Keen is more of a "dad" mom, so to speak, so she gives her more freedom and is more laid back. At the end of the day, even with all their flaws, they love each other.

I do too, its a very personal subject for me and I want to see a story where we're actively working on not adding to abusive cycles but rather healing and being better. :green_heart:
