in the case of rebooting a comic on tapas, something ill be doing again this year, Id made an announcement regarding my plans for the reboot and gave a length of time for how long old pages would remain up before switching them out for new/updated content
my own reboot wont be a full overhaul but i do plan on deleting one series (currently empty) and having a sort of new first episode for the one im "restarting". in my caßin fine with older episodes staying up since its a slice of life style comic and older pages wouldnt have impact on newer stuff and even with the style gap its not too jarring in terms of content
for something more story based tho ive seen folks just post small updates to let readers know about incoming changes with a span of time for at least a decent chunk of folks to see and then from that date start putting up new things. ive seen the span from those kinds of announcements be anywhere from a week of prior notice to a month depending on the backlog the artist/writer has prepped but so long as its communicated its typically fine for most readers, especially tapas folk (that ive seen)
